This is my favorite mexican restaurant in the Decatur area. The place is clean and nicely decorated... very inviting. The food... selection was excellent and was served hot and fast. Delicious! Portions were large and there was too much to eat in onesitting, so we enjoyed it the next day as well. It was just as good headed up. It's the only nearby Mexican restaurant thatserves sweet corn tamalito -- which is a wonder of the world and I dare you to eat it without letting out a moan. It can't bedone. The restaurant is large and looks like they could handle large groups. It is also a great place for families as well asdate nights. Highly recommend you give this place a try. We came on a Saturday evening and was seated right away. They had very good service. Got a medium mango margarita which was so... big I couldn?t finish. It was very tasty. Service was great. They were fast, attentive, and friendly. Food came out hot, quick, and delicious. Seriously I have been to... fast food restaurants that take longer to get you your food, and have no where near the quality of this place. Best Mexican Ihave had since I moved from Arizona 10 years ago. They could open in AZ and be successful. That's how good they are. Bonuspoints for those who love Mexican cuisine.... We have been here 3 or 4 times now & always had great food & great service except today which I paid for my parents because of... Fathers Day? We walked in the owner seated us, a lady came to bring salsa & chips and take our drink order. She comes back withthe drinks approximately 2 minutes after we?ve sat down asking if we?re ready to order. My mom said a few more mins she cameback mom asked about regular fajitas in which she was told that is only a lunch menu & today the lunch menu isn?t offered? If mymom wanted fajitas she had to get gourmet fajitas and pay nearly an arm & leg. I ordered a steak taco salad, she said steak notground beef right. I agreed. Dad ordered a chicken taco salad. Mom enchiladas supremes. We get our food I get steak which Ichewed and chewed on much like a dog with a bone. Moms chicken was so tough. And my dad got a ground beef taco salad. When Itold another waitress she took the plate & a couple seconds later our waitress came back stating it?s ground beef which is whatmy dad ordered. I told her no he ordered chicken. She looked at him and said ? you said you wanted ground beef because I askedground beef or chicken.? My dad is pretty easy going (me on the other hand little spitfire) so he told her ground beef would befine. She came back a few minutes later asking if everything was ok, knowing I was furious my dad answered her question. Wefinished eating I could have used another tea, she never came back to check again, didn?t even bring us the check I had to go upfront. I told the owner about the mess up he didn?t act concerned, acted like he wasn?t even listening. I overheard the peoplebehind us say their order was messed up. Very poor service & terrible food. Food was good but out of all the Mexican restaurants in our town this is the most expensive. I had a gold Margarita that was as... much as my spouse's dinner. The food has definitely improved since they opened but I don't order as much because of the highprices. We saw a Marcelino our favorite server who helps out a couple of nights a week so that was fun! My husband and I decided to try this restaurant last night April 24th 2022. We stood and waited as the couple ahead of us got... tired of waiting to be seated and left. Trust me when I say that should have been our clue to leave. We finally got seated aftera 15 minute wait and it was because they were crowded. The people working acted like they didn't have a clue what they weredoing and they didn't. So I ordered 2 hard shell shredded chicken taco's. I received 2 taco salads? I told them that wasn't what I ordered and finally got my 2 taco's. They had maybe a tablespoon of lettuce in them and maybe a tablespoon of chicken.While eating them I came across a label of some sort in my food? They didn't charge me for the tacos which was good because Iwasn't going to pay for them anyway. In my opinion they weren't ready to open by no means. We won't be going back there to eatever again.
