I came in today and ordered to-go. I worked at Panera in Alton, Carbondale, and Edwardsville. I was an associate trainer and I... worked with these establishments for about 3 years. All very nice establishments. I can say that the Decatur location is reallybusy but efficient. I didn?t wait too long given the circumstances of how many people were inside. The Chipotle Chicken AvocadoMelt was perfect! I have made thousands of these myself and from the presentation to the last bite I was impressed. I?m giving Panera a 3 on delivery. I have ordered there multiple times for lunch if I?m unable to leave to grab my lunch. Today... they didn?t pack my side in the bag, and they gave me a soup spoon for my salad after I asked for utensils to be included. It?sjust frustrating. I?ve worked in restaurants for delivery and to-go, so just please be mindful when you?re packing a meal to go.Double check if you have to. This isn?t the only order that I?ve had issues with. In the past I ordered a salad and was sent thewrong salad. My ticket reflected what I ordered but the contents of my bag did not. I was craving panera for two hours, but we were far away, so when we were about 30 minutes out, we ordered a bread bowl because... we knew they run out quick. When we got there, they gave the bread bowl I already and paid for ordered away. I then asked for arefund for the extra price of a bread bowl, which is a couple dollars. They then gave me a quarter. I at least wanted some ofthe value of the bread bowl and needed bread to go with the soup they gave, but they were out of baguettes as well, even thoughI saw them say they had more. Not quite as good as it was in the past. I haven't eaten here in a while but The new sauce on the turkey bravo is disgusting.... I've always ordered the Turkey bravo but I didn't even eat the whole thing this time. Read more
Wish they were more consistent on quality/reliability of equipment that they use. Whether it was their having coffee machine... Down for days, or soups not available, there's no excuse for not getting back up and running within hours. Several instances,where"bread and butter" offerings for Panera, are not available. Read more
Girl taking orders was nice. But the people behind her were very rude and unprofessional including the cooks and line people who... were clearly and loudly speaking rudely about how customers shouldn't look back at them while they work. They made it a veryunpleasant experience and we will not be back. Read more
I have never eaten here. This rating is because of my experience with picking up a Door Dash. The girl who takes the food from... the ready counter to the pick up shelf tried to take the bag I was picking up and I told her I was picking that up. She made acomment under her breath and walked away. I continued to wait for my other order. When it seemed to take a while, I walked overto the front counter to check if it was up there and that girl took the bag I had already said was mine and moved it. When Iasked her where it went, she said she didn't know so I kinda internally freaked out thinking someone left with it. Anotheremployee came up to me with the bag and said that the girl took it and lied about it. Like, what was the point in that?
