Visited this after the zoo (in Decatur). Very clean, fast service. Basted eggs were really a treat?????? Amy, the floor manager... (and our waitress was EXCELLENT) What is better than pie??? In Fall the Pumpkin Whipped Topping Pie is my favorite. Unfortunately, this restaurant has really went downhill over the last... few years. They've been short staffed lately which adds to their declining quality of service. Their dessert cases need a goodcleaning and remodel back to the way they were years ago. The lighting in the cases needs to be yellow and not bright white andthey need to go back to the long display trays instead of the random plates they use now. The dessert case is the first thingcustomers see and an indication of the quality they can expect while eating there. The way the dessert case looks now does notlook very appealing. As a DoorDash driver I try to avoid picking up from here and Mr. Beast Burger that?s located at Perkins.The orders are never ready and you're left waiting around for considerable amounts of time. On weekends, we take a break from me cooking at home and dine in at a restaurant. Tonight we chose Perkins. My first time here.... The waitress was very nice and attentive. We got there 15 min before close. Google hours are not accurate since COVID-19. Myyoungest ordered a burger and her fries came on the side. Husband had breakfast and since i trained for a half marathon inaturally choose healthier options and had fish. Food is good. The kids received cookies with their meal and the hubs and i tooka pie to go. Their pies are really good. Typical wait time for food to be served. Asked my kiddos if they would like to comeback and they all agreed with a yes. So this speaks for itself. If kids will eat, it is always a plus in my book ????. Read more
