I've been here on three times to be exact. First couple times I was with my white friend and we had a great time, good food and... speedy service. Every time I come here we would leave a good tip for their good service. However, the third time I came in withmy brother (Asian), this waiter, for some reason, was in a hurry and her service was considered sub-par optimum. My bill came to$58.58, I usually tip via cash but I only had $1.42 that day so I thought to myself to leave a bigger tip next time I come in.When the waiter took my card, she stared at the bottom row and said "only $1.42 tip? this one at least 15%". The food was good, the place is clean. The service? It was mostly friendly, which is important. But it was so slow and... inequitable I was getting mad. We were, at 11:55 am, only the third table seated. Others began to come in afterwards till at12:30, Koreana was full. We had ordered soft drinks, salads and sushi. Twenty minutes later, nothing. Not even drinks. Finally,drinks and ONE salad. Another 20 minutes. Nothing. Other tables seated after us were getting their appetizers, drinks, salads.It wasn't that they had a better server; Koreana only had one Saturday, a co-owner, who disappeared when not bringing food out.About 45 minutes past ordering, the waitress asked if we wanted drink refills. My wife said, My husband hasn't received hissalad. I said, forget it, just check on the food. She brought my salad about 1 minute later. It was very good (seaweed!). Justpast the one-hour mark, we got our food, which was good. Total bill was $60. I had debated leaving a 5% tip but didn't have theheart. We typically tip 15-25%, so this time, based on the service, I left 10 percent for the first time in years. I shouldpoint out that bad experiences are not common at Koreana, but THAT was a bad experience yesterday afternoon. PS The server andbus person were both properly masked. Read more
The food was pretty good, definitely comparable to what you'd get at a nice restaurant of the same style. The sushi was... definitely in the better end of the spectrum. Service was very polite, helpful, and swiftly accommodated every request. It'seasy to tell they are experienced. My order was as follows; monkey brains, Heart attack,beef & broccoli, shrimp lo mein, and theOh My God Roll. Read more
While one wonders about sushi in a place so far from ocean, it really is delicious quality sushi. The jasmine tea is also quite... tasty. Would definitely return. Read more
