Visited here on our vacation to Decorah. Recommended by a friend who went to school at Luther and it did not... disappoint. First, when we came in the staff was up front about being busy and that it might be a while before food came out. We had nothing but time and told them it was ok. Breadsticks came out early and were absolutely fabulous. We consideredordering more because they were so good. For real might be the best breadsticks I’ve ever had. Pizza did take a bit to getout after, but we were warned ahead of time and prepared. Waiter refreshed our beers while we were waiting. Ended up beingwell worth the wait. I had the regular (pepperoni and sausage). Wife had a chicken and mushroom Alfredo. We both enjoyed whatwe had very much. As we were traveling from out of state, I’m not sure when we will be back. But if we find ourselves inDecorah again this will be a must stop for us. Read more

Ok so we hit this place due to online hype. The end of the day: you’re looking at pizza that will do in a pinch. It’s clear... to me from the cheese bread aps to the pie it’s definitely there is nothing home made. The crust is like a a cracker and premade. The sauce is pretty inundated with sugar. The cheese bread is clearly stoufers or whoever supplies it. But it is pizza,and does good in a pinch. At 19.05 a medium specialty there is clearly room for pizza competition in decorah. T Read more
Mabe's Pizza was very clean and staff was friendly. Restrooms were very clean. We had the BBQ Chicken Pizza. It was very good.... The BBQ sauce was sweet with a slight tang. The thin crust was thin and cooked perfect. Thanks for the great experience! Read more
First time ever to Decorah and we stopped for lunch at Mabe's. Located in a very nice downtown. My group shared a BBQ chicken... pizza and a Taco Supreme pizza. Both were very good. Several American selections on the menu, burgers, chicken, pizza, etc.... The customer next to us had chicken and it looked and smelled wonderful. All of the service staff were helpful and friendly. This was honestly the best pizza joint I've never been to. The pizza was amazing, I celebrated my birthday there and got their... birthday dessert. It was scrumptious, it was delicious, absolutely savory, rich and cooked in a small cast iron skillet. It's ahalf baked cookie with ice cream. Hands down the best pizza I've ever had. Read more

We were traveling through the area and decided to give this place a try. The breadsticks and pizza were really good. It was nice... having the option of the smaller 9" size. The sweet tea was really really sweet, so I wouldn't get that again. The staff wasfriendly and efficient. The interior could use a little updating. Read more
