PSA: there’s a way to handle situations. Back story: I brought my son and his buddy out to King’s in Dedham. The plan was... bowling, lunch and the arcade. We checked in to bowl, it was early so we weren’t ready to eat (besides I don’t like eatingat the lane itself). During the hour we were there, I felt like our hostess was very inattentive - possibly because the weresetting up for a ”large event” or possibly other reasons (though I did see her check in on the folks the next lane over, afew times). So, me being who I am….I told her exactly what I thought of her service. Long story shorter - she told the shiftmanager and he comp’d us some arcade passes (good ALL day) AND some coupon cards to use on anything at theestablishment! That…is how you voice your grievance. And THAT is how a business should respond! Anyone that knows me, knowsI don’t mind spend my money…but give me the service I deserve and am paying for! Kudos to King’s for the save!!!! Prices have skyrocketed since when I first came here when I was much younger. So basically on par with everyone else. Be mindful... of bowling time prices adds up pretty quick. But good food and good time. Read more
Went bowling with a group of five on a Wednesday evening, the place wasn't empty but there was no wait, equipment was all... working and well maintained. The staff was friendly and politely attentive, asking if we wanted food or drinks withoutpressuring us. We did get drinks, and they came quickly and additional drinks were offered as needed. The staff here clearlymake this a better experience, taking good care of all the mechanical equipment, balls, shoes, and facilities. They havedinosaur shaped ramps for kids, families looked like they were having as much fun as everyone else, and all the patrons wererespectful and friendly to each other with more than enough balls for us non-professionals to choose from. I've never had somuch fun losing at bowling, and I credit the friendly atmosphere the night started with, thank you! Read more
Me and my wife went with another couple, so we had a party of four on a Saturday night. On the dining side it appeared they only... had one waitress covering four tables, including our table. It took forever to place our food order, and even longer to get ourfood and drinks. When one of our drinks arrived with a strawberry on the rim of the glass, half of the strawberry had mold on itand I had to ask the waitress to replace the strawberry. Service on the dining side was just awful, so next time we’ll eatbefore coming to Kings to bowl and play shuffleboard. Kings desserts are way better than the food they serve, so I highlyrecommend getting dessert while there. We had a great time bowling and playing shuffleboard though. On the entertainment sidewe happily give five stars. Read more
The food is always great and the atmosphere is nice. The waiters are very charismatic. The waiter I had both times I visited was... very knowledgeable about the food offered on the menu. He made a few suggestions and I actually went with one (habanero mangowings) and was extremely satisfied. I prefer eat then bowl because the wait for the lanes is usually pretty long. But the foodmakes it worth the wait. Read more
