This place is an excellent place for adults or parents with children. A large variety of drinks for both adults and children... great appetizers, pizzas, sandwiches. And the service when busy can be a little slow because of shortages but is still goodenough to deserve a decent tip for service. And if you enjoy dinner at the resturant they have a special that's runningcurrently that allows you to take home any pizza for $8. And that's per meal. My wife and I came in for lunch on a Friday - it was a busy lunch day for them. After waiting around 30 minutes for our food, I... approached a manager (Roberto I.) to inquire as both my wife and I had to leave for appointments. He immediately told me to "gosit down and we will take care of you." Excuse me? I told him I just wanted an idea of how long our food would take. Herepeated his demand telling me "go sit down right now and your food will be a few minutes". Well, seeing as how you have noidea what we ordered, how do you know it will be a few minutes? I asked him that question and he still gave the same response,claiming they are very busy. Seeing as how I was getting no where with him and he was going to give me no idea when our foodwould arrive, I sat down. Our food did arrive a few minutes later and, as usual, was sub par. The salad was overloaded withdressing while the pasta was dry and lacked any reasonable amount of sauce. My wife enjoyed her salad so that was a plus. Luckily for both of us, that's likely our last time at CPK. UPDATE: The day of the visit, I called the CPK customer servicephone number, and they took my information and assured me someone would call back. No one ever did. Only 2 things which were deterants were the fact that 5 of us were served & ate our meals before my husband even came out. Im... happy the kiddos got their food but there was no apology for the late arrival or acknowledgement of the absurd lateness of themeal or offer to take anything off for it. Great, They updated their menu. Took some things off the menu and changed some ingredients, but still very good.
Food is always standard, not complaints there. The service has changed in the past couple months. There were two cocktail... classes and some other trash on the bar when I sat to order togo. My order took 30min and by the time I left glasses and trashwere still there. At the same time I saw three employees standing around doing nothing. Another one disappearing for longstretches of time. Loved the pizza! The $8 take home pizza concept is amazing. The hostess and our waiter were super friendly. Since it was our... first time to a California Pizza Kitchen they introduced us to the rewards program and even provided free small plates for us totry. Delicious and great experience. Staff made us wait for a table because someone came in before us and said they had a party of 10 coming in 30 minutes, waited 30... minutes and then we got a table for 5, the available table being held for the party of 10 was still empty and hour later andonly 5 people showed up for it by the time we left.
