Had such great expectations but alas nothing is as it seems. Looked like the kind of place where you?re going to find excellent... coffee, however, our americano was so lackluster in flavor and depth that it tasted like flavored water BUT I?m giving it threestars because the pistachio ricotta cake and the smooth version sfogliatelle were quite good. Absolutely amazing. Got a chance to visit Italy with my wife this year and after trying Italian gelato we were hooked. We... couldn?t get enough of it so upon our arrival we decided to google gelato near us and lo an behold we found this place. It isabsolutely amazing. Taste just like the one we had in Italy. They have the best gelato and coffee on the Island. My favorite gelato flavors are the Tiramisu (has lady fingers in it), the... Amarena and the Wildberries Mascarpone. The espresso is smooth and strong. The customer service is top notch. Lots of regularcustomers. Read more
BEST HOMEMADE FRESH GELATO! They have their signature flavors but they have fresh new flavors like today hade rainbow cookie... gelato. They have the best tiramisu, biscotti and other great desserts. Cafe Italia is their own little Italy. There's indoorand outdoor seating. I highly recommend trying them out if you haven't already. Always friendly staff. Read more
Fantastic cappuccino, good tiramisu, and the lady making/serving them is very nice and friendly. While we were there a guy came... in who seemed to be the place owner.. and he didn't seem very nice. But I don't think he interacts with the customers. Read more
Food: 4/5 - Gelato's are good. Not spectacular but good. They are firm. I prefer the Gelato to be slightly soft. You can... try the flavors. Many are tasty. The spoons are VERY small and cheap. Feels like the sample spoon. I would prefer more ofthe add-ins. For example, more Pistashio or Cherry's. Atmosphere: 2/5 - Seating is very limited. Outside seating is prettybasic. I usually get it to go and sit in a nearby park to eat it. Service: 3/5 - They give you a cookie with the Gelato, but itis hit or miss. There's not good consistency. They aren't going out of their way to offer you more tastes. There's typicallyone person behind the counter and if there are other people in the establishments, there's a sense to move along and not trydifferent flavors. Cleanliness: 4/5 - No notable problems but not spotless. Not sure if there's a rest room. Parking: 3/5 -Small lot outside. Some additional parking in rear. Can be tight. Value; 4/5 - You get some nice ice cream for about $6 orso, depending on size. Overall: 3/5 - A Solid place to pick up Gelatio. Recommendation for establishment: I would preferit if they stored the ice cream a few degrees warmer so that it was served softer. Also a better engagement to find new flavorswould be good. If you're going to serve a cookie, make sure it's consistent. I'll be back but would be there more frequentlyif the above items were improved. Read more
