Just stopped in The Wild Roaster. Although closed for the July 4th festivities, I was still offered a cup of Java that they... were getting ready to bring to Deerfield?s Celebration. The owner also gave me a treat. A soft and chewy nut bar. An off thebeaten path but well worth finding. Why only four stars? I?m reserving the fifth for a couple more visits. They also do onsite pastries. Located at the Metra Station, so convenient for the commute. Read more

Wow! We were not expecting such high quality (and healthy) bakery items, or freshly roasted coffee from a small place in the... train station. We ended up getting several different things ? we wanted to try them all! We also picked up a pound of coffee togo (with proceeds for to vets ? nice touch, Wild Roaster).
