The pho is ok. But if you were here for pho, this may not be the place. However, the bigger issue is that their ventilation... system is kinda worn out. We left smelled like grease from the kitchen. They also brought out chopsticks that are wet,indicating poor sanitation, as wet utensils are the breeding ground for hepatitis virus and bacteria. I didn't check the kitchenmyself, but I can assume that it's not very clean. The smell really reminded me of the restaurant of a friend of my family thathad to be shut down for deep cleaning a couple of years ago. Read more

There’s a black bug in the soup of 30 Pho Special. The manager was rude, and argued with us that it’s not a bug, but a... spice, and smashed the bug in front of us right above another dish. We were shocked. It IS just disgusting and disrespectful. Weagreed to exchange the soup for a fresh one, but the manager came back still arguing that it’s not a bug and insisted we wouldget the same issue. We had to leave the restaurant feeling hungry because another dish was also contaminated by her smashing ofthe bug. Not recommended; and don’t try to tell them their food has a problem! Read more

A family run business that is a true gem in Del Mar. I wish we had been coming here when we moved to SD 20 years ago. The food... is delicious (Shaking Beef, Curry Scallops, Eggplant, Pho and the list goes on) and service is very polite and prompt! In the area and a friend recommended this hidden gems for great vietnamese cuisine. Our server was friendly and took great care... of us even it was during the lunch rush. The Pho had the best presentation and tasted great. It was cooked to perfection andfull of flavor. The shaking beef was tender with great flavor.
