I’ve been to Belfre Kitchen 3 times recently. The food has always been mediocre (salmon, poke bowl with shrimp, lobster roll,... several apps). If it were delicious it would be pricey but worth it. Because it’s mediocre, it’s simply overpriced. Thestaff (wait/host) is hit or miss. Had some wonderful, friendly, professional people. Unfortunately, we also had staff whoacted more like self absorbed teenagers doing us a favor. I won’t be back. I would recommend going somewhere else. Read more

Charming and tasty restaurant in the heart of Delafield. We had a 6pm reservation on a Friday night and were promptly seated... indoors. We could have waited 20 minutes to sit outside but declined. Service was very fast and friendly. Came and took ourdrink orders very quickly. The Sommelier Selection wine was very good and served in a chilled stone bucket. We started andreally enjoyed the Bruschetta with Burrata. We ordered the pan fried walleye and Milanese chicken. Both were amazing! 5 starsall the way around for ambiance, service, and taste. Cast iron chicken and Tuna Poke bowl were awesome! Salad was delicious but small for the price. Drop donuts and homemade ice... cream were my daughters favorite! Cocktails, wine flight, and service from Amy made our night! Read more

We stopped here after walking the Ice Age Trail. We had our dog along which they allowed on the patio. [I am grateful for... that]. I had a cup of tomato basil soup, tasted quite fresh. My husband had a salmon dish, and I had the Poke bowl, no proteinadded. Mine was delicious. I saw another review that said it was a small portion, nonsense! I needed a box to take somehome. We also split the peach cream dessert. Fantastic! This is a place I have driven by often, but never stopped. Glad wedid. High end food and great ambiance. I would recommend, and plan to return some time. Read more

This is a New American restaurant nestled in the heart of downtown Delafield. It’s one of the places that I’ve driven by... hundreds of times with the intent to try. We made a reservation several days in advance for a Friday night. They were busy!Walking up would have been a 1 hour wait. If you want to eat here once the weather gets bad, it could be even worse. The seatingarea is limited inside. It was a beautiful night so we chose to sit on the patio. The ambience was quite nice…a small townalive at night. Service was a little slow due to the busy-ness, but not enough to be bothersome. One of the issues is that theservers have to go all the way inside to the bar; all in all one of the side effects of having a bustling patio service. I thinkthe servers were putting in 15,000 steps a shift. We enjoyed our roasted cauliflower appetizer. It was fresh and crunchy withnatural caramelization and Parmesan! The artichoke however was tough and inedible. We mentioned it to our server and she verygraciously had it removed from our bill. We chalked it up to getting one of the bad ones since it appeared that other tableswere enjoying their artichoke. My girlfriend had the risotto and loved it. It’s not often that she completely finishes adish…especially after appetizers. I had the strip. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The side potatoes and asparaguswere exceptional. This place has no illustrious of being a high-end steak house, but the it definitely hit the spot for me. Thedesserts looked amazing, but we were too stuffed to try one. I highly recommend! Of all the places to eat in Lake Country, Belfre Kitchen has by far some of the best food. I enjoyed the grilled prawns, a mule,... and the falafel. My husband ordered the burger and an old fashioned and thought they were both delicious as well. Read more
