I am back for my annual visit tomorrow to my favorite place “ Lake Lawn resort”. Never disappoints and only gets better!... Food is great, Service id great, staff is great, and the views are absolutely phenomenal! They take care of me every year andgive me the same room which has a wonderful view of the lake. I’m not sure who is giving them less than a five star review orwhy they would be getting less than a fire star review! I give a five star review every time I come because there’s no placelike it. This was our second year here for our work retreat and I found myself almost giddy in anticipation of returning. The grounds... are so beautiful and peaceful that you find yourself waking up before dawn just to walk the lake and watch the sunrise. Thefall flowers all being placed and the fall pumpkin scenes just added to the beauty and joy of the place. Our rooms have alwaysbeen clean, the food is amazing, and the staff very thoughtful. The resort is located on the shores of Delavan Lake. My room in the Lakewood building at the eastern end of the resort had a... deck overlooking the lake and access to one of the outdoor pools down the hall. The spacious, super clean room included arefrigerator with a freezer, a coffee maker, iron and ironing board, safe, and large TV. The bathroom was handicapped accessiblewith a roll-in shower and lots of handrails. They had 2 patios on the shore set up for weddings with separate buildings thatincluded preparation areas for the bridal parties, outdoor patios with bars, and dining rooms with huge dance floors and aseparate barroom which had a buffet set up with pizza for late night hungry dancers. And, more importantly, they had plenty offriendly, helpful staff. Check-out was 11 a.m., but amenities including the pools are accessible after check-out. The largeindoor pool was great for walking, the whirlpool temperature was perfect, and there was a shower available for after swimming.Although a sign said no life guard, there was staff pool side. Stayed for a family vacation. Very nice place. We stayed at a big cabin. My only complaint is that we had to call every day for... garbage pickup and firewood. Sometimes it took 3-4 calls to get the job done. The staff was super friendly though. Amenitieswere good. lots of options to rent water equipment ie fishing supplies, jet skis, pontoons, etc. Great location and close toshopping in case you forget stuff. Read more
OK, so I've never been here as a customer, but I've visited here over the years as a vendor (band member). The staff are always... great to work with. They're always so nice and helpful. The food they cater at events is always good. It's just a great resortvibe to be here. They have this big new party boat that they rent out. Our band played on it for a party this week as it drovearound the lake. Super fun and unique experience! Read more
Excellent resort. Yes, a little dated, but very clean, quiet and just a very comfortable stay. We plan to return. Great... amenities with pools, water sports, restaurants, activities and very helpful staff. Area not nearly as crowded as Lake Geneva,and only a 10 minute drive away. Highly recommend. Read more
We were there for the Thanksgiving buffet. We love Lake Lawn, have stayed there many times. But the buffet was disappointing.... The food was barely warm, the mashed potatoes were stiff in the pan. It was presented nicely but not by any means hot. We werethere early, so it should have been hot and fresh. Desserts were okay, not great. Highlights of the meal, the shrimp in the icetower, the carving table (tho not hot) the chocolate dipped strawberries. The service by the servers was very good and of coursethe atmosphere and view was wonderful. But for the price (almost $60 each) the food needs to be topnotch. We will be back toLakelawn but not for the holiday buffet. Read more
