Very disappointed with their pizzas and brushetta. Small and flavorless with minimal toppings. Better off getting the cheapest... pizza from the frozen section in the grocery store, it would have more food and a better flavor. They should probably let youtry it before you buy it. Read more
Been wanting to try this pizza for a long time. Finally today we did. Wow! Really good pizza. Had the San Giorgio and a salad.... Salad was excellent. Not often do you get a salad with radishes. The Balsamic dressing was wonderful. I would have taken apicture of the whole pizza, but we couldn?t wait to get busy eating it. The rule I like to live by is be kind to unkind people. They need it the most. Food was good but not really worth the wait. 15... minutes til we got a Pepsi and water. When the young man came to take our drink order I asked if we could order. He huffed andsaid, I guess..I haven't even taken anyone else's order but oh well. 40 minutes later the pizza came. One 12 inch pie, thincrust..40 minutes. I would recommend not going here unless it was for take out bc the service was rude and the food tookforever. Read more

Would have rated a 5/5 however the service was not the greatest it took a very long time to get our... appetizers/drinks/food our server was extremely nice but she didn?t really tend to us a whole lot could be due to them justopening and figuring things out still so I won?t hold it against them.. the location is beautiful it?s very refreshing to have anice restaurant in our town... and for it to be down town is amazing! the view is beautiful it makes you feel like you?redowntown Columbus! I will say I did not rate higher also because the food is a little pricey and the portions do not really makeup for it I got a large pasta and the middle of my bowl was just as big as the small bowls? also noticed a few children there aswell as my own and they do not offer a kids menu so you pay adult price for kids meal? but again the food and atmosphere wasamazing! We visited Amato's tonight for my oldest daughter's birthday dinner. Bad experience. Kitchen needs better coordination. Our... dishes arrived over a 30 minute period, with the kids dishes arriving 50 minutes after ordering, my pizza arriving at an hour,and my wife's finally arriving at an hour and twenty minutes. Out of respect for my wife, I didn't eat my order while we waitedfor hers. We boxed our orders up, and left when hers finally arrived. My pizza was cold by this point. The kids all reallyliked the pasta that they ordered. Everyone that walked by our table had to kick my wife's chair (employee or otherwise, oneserver even joked about it), it seems. To their credit, Amato's did take my wife's sandwich off the bill - we didn't complainnor did we ask them to. The waitress was polite, and repeatedly apologized. I'm not annoyed at the time it took to receive ourorder - it's Saturday night, and I had no expectation that it would be out quickly. There should not have been that much of timedifference between our orders. It is unlikely that we'll be back. On the pizza itself: The crust was decent, but cold andsoggy by the time I ate it. Crust had a decent char, and the outermost edges were still crispy in places with a good chew. Wasprobably really good when it was hot. The crust was a very thin crust, and the pizza was cut pie-style. The sauce wasflavorful, and the best part of the pizza. I got the tomato sauce, which was perfectly seasoned, very slightly spicy, and evencold was amazing! The pepperonis were moderately bland, and not crispy. Good quantity, not too much, not too little. Thesausage was bland, but at least was fresh sausage, and not the generic precooked sausage pellets that some places use. Thequantity was a little on the low side. The cheese seemed to be a good quality hand-torn fresh mozzarella, and tasted good.Quantity was perfect for this style of pizza. Overall, I'd give the pizza an adjusted 4 out of 5 for cold pizza.
