As I am watching the owners sweat on peoples food while they are trying to keep up and cannot. Instead of waiting 45 minutes for... my food I decided to just get a bag of chips. I put two dollars down on the counter and said hey guys I?m just going to grab abag of chips so you do not have to worry about it because again I did not want to wait 45 minutes on food that had their sweaton it. Then five minutes later I?m getting yelled at by both the bartenders and the owners of scratch because I tried to dosomething nice. Some of the best Italian in the area, EVERYTHING is homemade (ok, maybe not the bottled water). I watched them run my noodles... thru the cutter! Alfredo is made everyday. They have indoor seating at the Food truck depot in Delaware (sometimes love music).Pairs great with Homestead Brewing Co. Beers also on site! Read more
Outstanding is selling the food short. Have tried several items and everyone is better than the last. Pretzel -... excellent Fried Bologna- excellent Meatballs - excellent Alfredo Meatball smash burger- excellent Scratch sauce with pasta-excellent Alfredo sauce with mushrooms- bring 3 friends to share! Have yet to try the ravioli or the lasagna, but cant wait totry. Owners are the cooks, mom comes down to help, this place is wonderful. Wow, why did I wait so long to try Scratch?! The smell from the parking lot was already intoxicating, but when my family... started taking their first bites, all I heard were ?Mmmm?s? We tried the Alfredo, the Red, the blush, the garlic butter,meatball, mushrooms, and some cheesy garlic bread. You only get fettuccine noodles, but that doesn?t bother me, they?re scratchmade, and wonderful. Alfredo was superb! Red and blush were fantastic, you can taste the scratch made goodness. The mushroomswere dynamite, and the meatball is on par with Marcella?s. The slight downer was the garlic butter pasta, it didn?t have muchbutter/sauce, so we supplemented some olive oil at home. The cheesy garlic bread was good, although would rather see it ?openface/cheese up instead of inside like this was. Overall, glad we finally took the plunge, local and delicious!
