I?ve visited Caribbean Grill & Roti Shop (CGRT) a few times and I must admit, everything I?ve had was really good. Better than... expected. CGRT is an NYC-style spot, the physical appearance and food quality is very authentic in that aspect. For me, thehardest part about living in Florida has finding good food spots, so CGRT gets a thumbs up in my book. The first few times I?vevisited CGRT, I?ve ordered the gyro (combo) over rice plate and the curry chicken with roti. Both are excellent. I?m not a bigfan of curry chicken but theirs is one of the best I?ve had. The roti was very soft and tasty. The last time I visited CGRT, Iordered the jerk flavored wings with vegetable lo mein. That was really good! I honestly didn?t expect much but the quantityand flavor of the food was really good. It?s a spicy meal so prepare yourself, but it not over-the-top so don?t worry. I?mwilling to bet everything else on the menu is really good as well. I just wish they had a better drink selection. There is nevermore than one or two selections, which I just don?t understand. I've ordered here multiple times through DoorDash. Absolutely the most amazing veggie samosas with tamarind I've ever had... anywhere. Sadly, they just seem to be rarely available. Love the mixed bowl. The rice in it is so light and delicate. Thetzatziki sauce is different than I'm used to (Greek heritage) but delicious. The place is clean and inviting with great smells and friendly service. Unfortunately the presentation of the menu is... disorganized and does not offer any assistance for first timers. The menu board has a curry section, or so I thought, but when alamb dinner was ordered from this section is came like a deconstructed gyro with none of the great curry flavor I was hopingfor. I had the oxtails which I thought were way overpriced for the portion provided, as was the lamb. Spent over $40, lefthungry, and without the food that I came in to enjoy. Most of this could be remedied if the menu board was organized andprovided more details of the items. I would like to go back for curry because it smelled great, but probably will try adifferent restaurant next time. Read more

I love the sweet chili shrimp its absolutely delicious! I really recommend everyone give this small restuarant a taste!... DELICIOUS! Update: 11/20/21 I havent been back here in some time, unfortunately the prices have gone up quite a bit, and theflavor seems different, less flavor on some of the items in the menu. We stop for a late dinner, I thought the place was closed, chairs up on tables. They do takeout only. I almost left but my... wife wanted to give them a try. We ordered from the car and waited 15 minutes for our order. Two Gyros and a lamb curry. Igot the house salad with my Gyro, my wife got fries. I was no impressed with the house salad but her fries were awesome. Shealso had the hot Lamb curry. After many years overseas I have an expectation for curry and Gyros and did not think this placewould measure up. The lamb curry was excellent, moist morsels of lamb that melted in your mouth and left you with a nice burn. The Gyro surprised me even more. I would have to say this was the best Gyro I have ever had and I have probably had hundreds ifnot a thousand. Overall I think this place has awesome food and can not wait to try their Oxtail stew and hot wings. I highlyrecommend the lamb curry and the Gyros! Read more
