Stopped here for dinner at the end of a weekend visit to the area and had good expectations based on the reviews and pictures... others have shared. But what we got was not very good. Both the chicken and beef had a low-quality bad taste that we justcouldn't get past to eat. I took a few bites of my chicken flautas and it was just really gross to me! We got a box to putthings in but ultimately tossed it knowing we weren't going to eat it. I will say the rice/beans and salsa were good though.Otherwise some of these reviews make me feel like I was somehow at a different place lol Read more

Home-cooked Mexican food was just what the doctor ordered. Husband and I were staying just one night in the area on our way to... Tuscon so we wanted to find a solid casual spot for dinner. Alma's was the best choice we could have made. I got the shreddedchicken flautas (picture) which were so good dipped in the homemade guacamole. My husband got shredded beef enchiladas withhomemade red sauce which he raved about. At the counter they offer all sorts of Mexican candies, trinkets, and - best of all -homemade baked goods. We bought 2 cinnamon rolls (pictured) to have with coffee the next morning. They had some kind of dulce deleche drizzle over them and they felt and tasted freshly-baked after 20-30 seconds in the oven. Easily the best we've everhad. My first time coming here. Located just north of Deming on the Hatch hwy, snuggled inside an RV park, this restaurant is now a... new Deming’s favorite. The atmosphere is very inviting, with it’s beautiful decorations. It sets you back with the good olediner, welcoming vibes. Make sure you are craving something when arriving. Hard decisions on what to eat since you want to tryit all. I could never go wrong with enchiladas with an egg on top and my daughter had their shrimp cocktail. The red chili wasflavorful and the beans were so good! The shrimp cocktail was so delicious that my daughter had every drop of it. She was sohappy. Another favorite was their chips and salsa. The salsa was so good!! I heard they serve sweet tea. I always go for theMexican Coke bottles. Alma's Kitchen is very busy so... Order ahead for pick up or delivery. Excellent food. They have better menu photos on their... website. We've eaten here for months. There is ample food in each order. Quality is high. Tacos - yummy with lots ofmeat. Burritos - husband's favorite! Shrimp cocktail - yummy with good balance of veggies chopped small.
