Don?t be deceived by the humble exterior, or the casual atmosphere, this restaurant is a gem! With their special ?Asian food... with a Latin flare?, Komodo Loco offers full flavors that surpass most of their peers. If you?re starting with an appetizer, you?ll find it difficult to choose just one ? and I couldn?t, so we had the Loco Eggrolls and the Dragon Eggs. Both aredelicious, and while I enjoyed the Eggrolls, the Eggs have such a great combination of flavors, I could eat a whole tray ofthem! The entrees were definitely the stars of the meal, as my family selected Yo?s Poke Tostadas, the Bayou Tower, and abuild-your-own Poke Bowl which was gluten-free. I had to go with a special, which I?m told is soon to be added to the regularmenu ? a Fried Noodle Bowl topped with your choice of proteins. Again, I couldn?t choose just one, so I selected the Steak andPork Belly. Both meats were outstanding, but I have to give the winning nod to the steak. It was tender, flavorful, juicy with arich grilled taste. I couldn?t go back and not get this again! For dessert, 3 of us chose the Joy Macaron Ice Cream Sando (thisof a Oreo Ice Cream Sandwich in size, but the cookie is macaron, and they have four flavors to choose from), a very satisfyingfinish, and our 4th ordered the Tempura Sopapilla Cheesecake. This is everything it sounds like. It?s New York-Mexican-Asian andthe Texas State Fair together on your plate. If you?re a fan of any of those things, this is a must! Topping the deliciousfood, the service was excellent. Friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. Overall, a great place for dinner not far from thesquare in Denton. Read more

Ok, so pleasantly surprised with this spot. We were expecting your average Sushi joint. Let me tell you this is by far, the best... meal my husband and I have had in quite a while. He also does not really enjoy craft cocktails and he loved the one hegot...can't for the life of me remember the name but it was made with Japanese whiskey.. its a must try...our server was thebest. So informative. He was on point and knew what he was talking about with everything he suggested to us. We will be back, asoften as possible...I highly recommend you try this place. It will not disappoint. Your palate will thank you for it. Read more

We had Fuego Rojo and Dragon Fire. ($15 ish each) A bit overpriced, but worth trying especially from my Japanese perspective.... It?s really interesting to taste such creative sushi. I liked the fried one better. The strawberry sauce was not my kinda style. But I still appreciate the whole new experience. Read more

Wonderful little gem just off the town square. Made a reservation online and was seated immediately. Busy about 730p but not too... loud. Staff was very nice and several people checked on us through the meal. Nice sake selection. We started with the vegetablegyoza and they were amazing. The spicy dipping sauce was ?lick your plate? good. Cow-a-bunga roll was one of the best flavor andtexture combinations I?ve had in a roll. Great fusions of flavors. We will certainly be back to visit. Read more
