Super dope place with relaxed vibe. Real candle light on the table. Good music. The fancy grilled cheese with prosciutto was... bombbb and delicious. The owner is super tight. Each drink has its own style of glass. The gin and tonic was superb. The widowskiss was not on the menu but they can whip up what you desire. My friend loves the spicy drink section. The latest happy houraround until 7pm on every day they?re open (Thursday/Friday/Saturday). If you love plants ???? get here cuz they?d love yourlove. Ive tried stopping in here several times. First time was my bad, didn't look up the hours. Second time there was a sign in the... door that the person who was working cut their hand and had to close, third time was a Friday evening and there was no note onthe door this time, they just weren't open. went here on a whim in search of a good cocktail in a mostly unfamiliar city. truly lucked out on the impulse, as this place is... a real gem. even though they were a bit busy, the owner took the time to come say hi and make me a special cocktail. he must bean alchemist, as i'll be thinking of that concoction for a while. was really nice to have staff that wasn't pushy or overlyattentive/fake nice. their menu reflected a desire to seek inclusivity and equity, which was appreciated. if you're looking forknowledgeable and genuine folks, these are your people. Simple yet stylish spot. Bar Max is a gem of a bar with a great cocktail menu. This sweet spot has the feel of a nice little... escape and those tend to be my favorite kind of bars. I hope they continue pop ups like their recent hummus pop up (which wasfantastic). Already look forward to exploring more of the menu soon! Read more
Found this bar while walking to the botanical gardens. Great find! The cocktails are really good. The happy hour goes 4-7pm. ... Had the Hopelessly Sinister cocktail because I love scotch. Glad I got it. Bartender was super nice. Not a pretentious placeat all. Will be back for sure. Read more
