Had the opportunity to have a very nice late lunch today here and found the food to be tasty, quick, and reasonably priced. The... restaurant is clean, has good natural light with large windows facing the parking areas. I really liked the chicharrones and Iasked one of the owners, Julio, about them and he explained how they cooked them and gave me a free sample of them to take home.Overall, great pride in ownership from a family-owned and operated establishment with good attention to customer service. I got 1/2 dozen red & green tamales, plus a breakfast burrito. All of it was amazing reheated. Make sure to ask for your... tamales to go cold. Sadly going Down Hill with their customer service! Our family has been going there since they first opened, the food is great... and traditional to New Mexico. Went there and sat down to eat to find no one waited on us and you have to place your order asyou walk in. The girls behind the desk had no customer service skills. The table was dirty and we asked to have it cleaned andshe only came and cleaned out our table although all the other tables were dirty. We asked why they don?t wait tables and shesaid because of COVID however no staff had mask on, she never smiled or appeared to care for any customers walking in the dooras her and the other girl err on their personal phones. One of the cooks came out and was sitting on a cart and took the cloththe girl washed the table with and started wiping off his pants while he talked to his friend who got served before us althoughhe came in later than us. The cook finished wiping his pants down and threw it back where he got it from and then awoman-customer came and got the cloth and was wiping her families table off with it and he said nothing. They never offered uswater or asked how our meal was. It?s a shame to see employees who don?t care about the years of work owners put into theirrestaurant and name and who will kill the restaurants future because they are lazy and have absolutely no customer serviceskills. Management better step it up! We will never dine there again and sadly believe t?this will be another small business onits way out! Read more
Fantastic tamales, both green and red, wonderful shredded beef burritos on homemade flour tortillas and an Denver "egg roll... style" chile relleno. I would get everything again except for the relleno. Amazing bang for the buck in a really comfortableclean restaurant. The counter service was helpful and polite. Read more
It's ok, green chili is very bland. I ordered deluxe and they put barely any lettuce on it and no tomatoes so I'm not sure what... I received for the extra $1.35 vs smothered? Chorizo was super salty, probably to make up for the other bland flavors. I askedfor hot sauce and was told they didn't have any, seriously?!? I've been coming here every year during December to have tamales for Christmas. I love their green chili and cheese tamales.... Everyone at this restaurant is always friendly and they all have good customer service skills. On Saturday I placed a tamaleorder and I needed medical attention and one of their employees gave me water and asked if she should call 911 and she did. Igot medical attention. I'm super thankful to this employee because I've been sick for 20 years and if she didn't call 911 Iwouldn't of got a diagnosis. I had to go back to the restaurant after I got out of the hospital to pick up my tamales because Ileft them behind and they said they knew about my order and they had my information in the computer. All was good. I'll have toget the restaurant a card. Thank you so much to this employee. I'll see you next year for my tamales order. -Geneva Read more
