We decided to drink and dine here on a Friday evening, primarily because we know someone attending the University and the fact... that this building is magnificent looking. The building has an active brewery, from which you can order any of the Tivoli labelbrews. There is a small, limited menu kitchen where you can order food. We had the hamburger and chicken wrap, both of whichwere great (but lacking that little extra bit to be amazing). You could probably be a whole homeless person and walk in here and sit at their lower bar and they wouldn?t even notice you. If... you want to be served without waiting for 30 minutes, you?ll just have to sit up top with the regulars, if there?s any room. Notthe best place to go between classes if you?re a student and you have some time constraints. Takes them forever to cash you out,too. This is between the hours of noon and 3, so I?m not sure if their night staff is any different. I don?t order food hereanymore because the last time I did there was a small shard of glass in my salad. Luckily, it ended up on the very bottom of thebowl and I noticed it before I took my last bite. All of that aside, it?s not a bad establishment to hang out at. They play goodmusic, they have some decent beers, and the ambience is really industrial. Bottom line is that this could be a really profitableestablishment, even during the daytime - being on a college campus with potential for regulars. They need more attentivebartenders. This place is so low volume I could scream after 7 years of bartending experience myself. No reason for 30 minuteswithout being noticed, and no reason for not getting more individualized attention. They also need to make sure their kitchenstaff does due diligence in ?burning? products when stuff breaks around it. I know it sucks to lose perfectly good product, butthis is a safety hazard. What I like about Tivoli is that the beers are reliable and I?ve never had one I truly disliked. Management seems to change... often, but the new manager, as of this post, seemed super friendly and I?m excited to see what changes come. New food menu isdelicious so far. I enjoyed this place! It was quite popping at the time. I recommend coming at less busy times for better service. But their... drinks on tap were quite good. Not my favorite part of town but I could get another drink here in the future! Read more
