This evening, after scouring previous posts, I ordered takeout from House of Biryani's & Kebab's - Denville,NJ Located on Route... 46 West near the Denville border with Mt. Lakes, there was ample parking making pick up a breeze. The menu is pretty extensiveand this evening, picked from their Indo-chineese menu with a mix of more traditional starters. Started with the Samosas (3pieces of deep-fried cone pastry stuffed with potatoes and green peas served with tamarind sauce) In addition, I also orderedthe Onion Kulcha (Lightly leavened bread stuffed with finely chopped onions.) Both were super tasty and made a great start to mydinner. For the main course, I ordered the Schezwan Chicken Noodles (Veg Hakka noodles and egg/chicken.) This is anindo-chinese fusion which makes for a tasty meal. For those not familiar with food fusions, thr meal is a combination of Indianand Chinese cooking techniques, creating a new meal. It's just like a reese's peanut butter cup where chocolate and peanutbutter are both great, but even better when together. I ordered 520 PM on a Sunday and was told the food wolud be ready in anhour. I arrived on time and the food was ready as promised. When picking up, there seemed to be a good mix of those doing take out and and those dinning in. When I arrived home, food was still hot and tasty. Definitely another great place in Denvilleto choose from. Was happy to such a diverse menu with many options to choose from. Also many vegetarian options to choosefrom. While not a vegetarian myself, will often order whenever my daughter joins me and there are many items that would beperfect got her. Once of the commen misconceptions about Indian Food is that it is spicy. While my dinner was in fact spicy, that was ordered to my liking. My daughter turns down the spice level way down and enjoys this cuisine a great deal. Inaddition to the indo-chinesse cuisine, the menu also offers kebabbs, Bryiani's, Dosa's, Utappam's, and ot Read more

Despite the typo in the name (plural vs possessive apostrophe) the food was delicious. It took a while to come out, about 45... minutes (arrived at 5:45, food came to the table at 6:40). That being said, this was a Friday night and they were VERY busy. Igot the mutton fry biryani, garlic naan, onion kulcha, and samosas. For one person this was a feast! One biryani could easilyfeed two people. The rice was fluffy and flavorful. The lamb was well seasoned and fairly tender. The naan and kulcha weregreat, a perfect blend of crispy exterior and soft interior. The samosas are huge, and stuffed with potatoes, chickpeas, andpeas. Overall I really enjoyed the food. I took about 1/3rd of this feast home because I couldn't finish it all! Read more

Fantastic selection of authentic Indian fare. Can?t wait to try more hyberabadi dishes since I was overwhelmed this visit since... I was alone. I had chicken korma and Reemka (?) kabob due to an ordering snaffu. Both were fabulous. But, seriously, the kebabtakes the cake. Incredible execution ? needs a side to fully enjoy it. I should have ordered the veggie korma for more variety.I didn?t love the meat cut in the korma? but overall the sauce was superb so I didn?t mind. Can?t wait to try biryanis and morenext time! We enjoyed being able to sit outside (this was the reason we visited this particularrestaurant) and the host and servers were all polite and helpful. Read more

Nice and cozy place. Food was fresh and very well made. No corners cut. The butter naan was nice and crispy and full of butter.... One of the best I?ve eaten ever. Biryani was nice, fluffy rice and the right amount of spice. The gravy we ordered too wastasty, not too oily and light on the stomach. Overall I?d recommend this place. People living near this place you?re lucky tohave a solidly good Indian restaurant near you. Read more
