Enjoyed the variety of vegetarian options here, and definitely had some new experiences since the vegan meat used here is... definitely special. Very close to actual meat, but still missing the mark by a little. It's a 3.5/5 if 4/5 was impossible burgerand 5/5 was actual meat. Great presentation. Love the different concepts that were explored to achieve good vegetarian options,but the execution could be improved, for example the vegan shrimp looked amazing, but the texture of it was way off, more akinto a tendon meatball. The other sushi options on the sushi sampler were decent, and the eel definitely tasted like an eel intexture. My favorite was the tuna sushi, which reminded me of a musubi in taste! Soy sauce didn't hit the spot for me, as ittasted different from other soy sauces I've had, which is strange because I thought soy sauce was already vegan. Maybe somethingwith their supplier. Overall, I did enjoy the experience, which was good for the price point this restaurant is at, but sadlywill not be returning since this is a 25 minute commute for me to get here. However, I was glad I tried this place out, as itwas a pleasant experience. I would recommend trying this place out at least once. One final thing that bothered me was the placemat, which claimed to have no cholesterol or saturated fats. While vegan options are certainly cholesterol free, saturated fatsstill do occur in all cooking oils, including vegetable. Making the claim of no saturated fats is misleading at best, if notmislabeling, and I hope this gets fixed before the FDA gets involved. Read more
