First time exploring Oregon?s coast. The sky was grey, and Gracie?s Sea Hag was glowing in the distance. Lucky for me and my... loyal companion; it was the only restaurant opened in the area. Was told we had to get the clam chowder here and it didn?t disappoint. 9 in our group and 7 of us agreed it was the best clam... chowder we had eaten in Newport. The food was delicious and the steamer clams were large and tasty. Great service, greatshopping in the area, and beautiful views of the ocean across the street. Clean and playfully decorated, inside seating. Service is friendly but hit and miss on if they come back anytime soon. We waited... for 10 to 15 minutes to be seated,, turned out to be 28 minutes. Ordering took a wile but, they where busy. When we did order,it was fast. Then waiting for food was nuts slow. I could have caught it fresh at the bay and fried it before we got ourfood...lol. Fish and chips was greasy! Barely a small hand full of fries under the fish and chips. Not worth the money. The tunatacos with pineapple chutney...good idea but bland. The tuna was perfect and silky. Just no flavore (tuna or thechutney). Bottom line with this place is if your looking for seafood on the coast, there are better priced places for betterquality food. Not a recommend for me. Read more
Good food! Sat in the bar had cod and chips, my guy had oysters and chips and a bowl of chowder. All of it was delicious. The... bartender/server was super friendly too. Highly recommend. Read more
Pleasant yet pricey. We both started off with a beer. I had the scallops and my wife had the stuffed salmon. We opted on a... small bowl of clam chowder. We finish the meal with one bread pudding. With tax and tip it costed us $90. The waiters were veryhelpful and very kind. It is in a nice location. Read more
Gracie's Sea Hag is a wonderful seafood restaurant in Depoe Bay, Oregon, located adjacent to the historic Depoe Bay Bridge. From... the restaurant, you can look out and watch whales in the Pacific Ocean during their migratory season. The service and food isexcellent, and prices are reasonable. They have live music in the bar on weekends, check with them for times, and see who isplaying. They have an excellent selection of liquors and can pour about any drink you desire. Great little diner with rich history and great Clam Chowder. I had the Monte Christo sandwich; which is a personal favorite of... mine. It is prepared in a unique way which I really liked. It did however have a fishy flavor that I noticed with every bite.This is why a 4 star rating. Read more
