as a new jersey native and someone who works at a pizza place, I have to leave a comment. Starting with the crust, it is very... thin and crispy with pretty good char on the edges. I ordered a plain and a pepperoni. The plain slices hold very nice and foldwithout flopping. The pepperoni slice was a bit more floppy but still really good. I'd give it a 7.8. The cheese tasted prettyhigh quality, I'd give it a 8.9. the sauce was definitely the best part. I've tried quite a few places around the new haven areabut this sauce is by far the most balanced and well seasoned. I'd give it a 9.2. Overall the pies were great and all my roomatesenjoyed it as well. Will definitely order again and try out some of the specialty pies. Read more
This has quickly risen to my favorite pizza in the state. It is so good that just a plain pie does the trick. I actually come... from about 40 minutes away just to enjoy this delicious food. My wife & I like to sit in the bar & the bartender Dom is anabsolute delight. He?s super nice, has a great memory, and is easy to chat with if it?s slow enough. For everyone who iscomplaining about wait times: get over it. They?re short staffed (as is just about everywhere nowadays) and they still make adelicious product. Pizza was amazing. I waited around an extra 30 minutes after the time I was told to arrive in order to wait for the pizza, BUT... it was a Friday night so manage your expectations. Food was nice and fresh and I love the open kitchen concept where you seeeverything is made in house. Quality ingredients and excellent taste. Read more

The flavor was good, crispy like requested. Pepperoni was a little greaser than normal but overall I really enjoyed it. Reheated... well. The server was friendly. But only one server for a decent size section, so wasn't a quick lunch like planned. Read more
I'm usually skeptical when I see an eatery in a shopping plaza, but my wife swears by their food. Walking in the decor stood out... immediately. The bar section was very elegant, and the restaurant section had amazing artwork. As a Chef, I'm usually picky whenit comes to food - as anyone who follows me knows. My appetizer was the lasagna fritz. We also ordered a mozzarella pizza andItalian combo sub. I'm from New Haven so I try not to be too cynical. I was pleasantly surprised how well it came out. Now thebest for last... The Italian combo sub was hands down the best I've ever had. The roasted red peppers and balsamic add to theperfect match of meats and cheese elevated it beyond measure. They're located off RT15, exit 58 on RT34. I will definitelyreturn to try more items on the menu. I highly recommend to everyone to swing by and try them out for yourself. Read more
We had been dying to come here and try the Baked Stuffed Shrimp and Cheeseburger pizzas, and we were honestly hesitant about how... good they would be. Tipsy Tomato exceeded our expectations and these are two of our favorite speciality pizzas that we?ve tried!Their cheese pizza was great too. Love the tipsy calamari, I?ve never seen anything like it on a menu before and thought it wasa great creation. The dining area was nice! Our server was a high school girl who could?ve been more attentive with refillingdrinks, but another waiter took over halfway through our meal and was sure to fix that.
