Had a great experience a few weeks ago for my first time at culvers. Went again today and food was very rough. Asked for no... onions. They were on both burgers. Both burgers were super pink. Fast service when i ordered my meals the food wad good and excellent service but when I went to redeem my kids free ice cream... scoops she never put the order in and said I needed to pay and I reminded her that I gave her the ice scoop papers off the kidsmeals and then she remembered then I got my kids free ice cream scoops. Noon time on a Monday we dined inside where it was busy but not crowded. Excellent, friendly, and patient young men took our... order. Delicious, well prepared food came promptly. Thick strawberry shake, 2 breaded Shrimp meals, onion rings, instant mashedpotatoes with light (chicken) gravy, best side salad of any fast food place. I have tried Culver's a few times in the past and honestly wasn't super impressed. Today was the first time in several year. I... actually really enjoyed my burger. I was surprised at first how thin the meat patty was, but after thinking about it, it wasactually the amount of meat recommended by nutritionists for a single meal in a day. And the amount of lettuce and tomato madeit feel like a salad (with a little meat) on a bun. I personally was very happy with the flavor and amount of veggies. Not too happy with service. Food is always good. But when I asked for a 2 dish with 2 scoops and snickers it threw the cashier... off. She had to ask me 3 times what I ordered. Then when I got to the window she asked me to clarify. I thought I had to of beenon candid camera or something. Then I had to wait 15 minutes for my ice cream. They weren?t busy either. The best thing about this Culver's is the guy that helps everyone. Seriously the nicest guy, always upbeat, always going the... extra mile. I like their burgers and cheesecurds, too, but my visit is to support that guy's job! SE 14th location in DesMoines. I usually get a basket- today was no different. Culver's single deluxe with cheese. $6.73. Went back for some ice creamand some appetizers. Good stuff. They did forget to deliver my ice cream, but I went up and asked for it later and they had itsitting in the cooler. I love their diet rootbeer. So yummy. Their fish sandwich is also quite good! Cheesecurds are prettygood, and it's fun to see what their custard flavor of the day is. Read more
