Francies is a staple of the southside of Des Moines! They have an amazing grilled chicken salad, Italian sausage nachos,... burgers, Phillies, and more! If you love a good crinkle cut fries, this is your place. They have their own signature margaritathat will also blow your mind. Their patio is beautiful when the weather is right. I would not recommend to go with groupsbigger than five or six people. It?s not uncommon to show up at all the tables are full? But it?s definitely worth the wait. Read more
Came here for a late-night dinner. Food and service was quick. The wings were a winner. The Reuben was alright. Fries were kind... of undercooked and underwhelming. Might've just been a bad time. Might consider trying them again a few months down the line. Read more

My wife and I had a Chicken Philly and a Cuban and they were both awesome! The chips were really good but we were mixed on the... cheese. My only disappointment was I ate so many chips I could only eat half of my sandwich! Not to worry, I ate it at homelater! We would definitely recommend it to others! Read more
I?ve been wanting to try this place for a while because I had heard good things about it and it has been around for a long time.... So I had high hopes for it. Unfortunately I found it very disappointing. When my husband and went last night, the parking lotwas packed and the place was full inside. We thought that was a good sign. The waitress told us before we ordered that therewould be a long wait because they had so many orders in at that moment. We didn?t have a problem with that and appreciated theheads up from her. We ended up waiting about 40 minutes for our food. We figured it would be that long. I ordered the New Yorksteak and pepper sandwich and my husband got the bacon cheddar burger. I asked if they could add sautéed onions to my sandwichand the waitress said it wouldn?t be a problem. When I got my sandwich there were no onions added, the meat was chopped up intocubes instead of being in thin strips like I thought they?d be and the meat wasn?t seasoned. My husband said his hamburgerwasn?t seasoned either. Neither were our fries. And most of my husband?s fries looked like they were the tiny remnant piecesfrom the bottom of the bag. They were just warm and not very hot so they weren?t crispy. They had probably been sitting for awhile. Everything tasted very bland. We couldn?t remember the last time we had such bland food. I can?t figure out why peoplelike this place so much. We definitely won?t be back. We have had better tasting and less expensive food from other places. Iwas going to give this place two stars, but I added a half star because the waitstaff did a great job and they were hustlingwhen it was very busy. Read more
Good food and service was great I had the queso burger and it was an open faced burger which was a bit of a surprise but a good... one. Fries were good wife had the Turkey melt and it was real good. We each had a couple of Mules, watermelon and cucumber/mintboth were refreshing. Read more
this place is amazing, it was my first time there and our waitress was extremely nice and they served us 10 min before they... closed the kitchen (we had no idea). the nachos we got were LOADED and the drinks we got were amazing.
