Crispy chicken, even with delivery. We did not care for the Mac n cheese but that's just our opinion. Too cheesy/greasy if you... can believe it! Biscuit fluffy and fresh. They did not include butter, silverware, or napkins with the delivery which was abummer. Chicken was great. Like I said- nice a crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. It was $18.50 for a 3 piece meal butthat included delivery charge and tip. It was enough for me and an 8 year old so still not bad. Read more
Staff was amazing at the east 14th st in Des Moines. Very polite and made sure my order was fresh! Everyone was busy and just... working hard! I have had bad experiences in the past at this location but that?s been a while ago! Sounds like they cleaned thatplace up and is running how a fast food chain should. Front desk employees were awesome! Hands down the best experience at thislocation! I have lived near the Des Moines location for 43 years and I will definitely refer this location and frequent nowafter this last visit. Ashley was the gal up front who was awesome! So I stopped at this location today and I got a 14 piece family meal spicy and I am trying to figure out how when I break the... chicken open it was bleeding and I also got 2 red beans and rice and it was basically all rice no beans really not happy at allI spent 30 dollars and then I ask the manger do she no why the chicken was bleeding and she told me she did not no so I am nothappy at all???????????????????????????? It hasn't changed in the 42 years I have been going to popeyes, good ol southern fried chicken and the red beans and rice is... fantastic. Arrived in the drive thru around 4:30pm. There were a few cars ahead of us. We get to the speaker and place our order. Once we... get to the window, the girl had to take our order again! Apparently it didn't get sent through. Seriously?? Then, we wereinformed that the lady before us ordered a large Mac n cheese, so they were out and it would be 15 minutes for more. ITS DINNERTIME!! WHY ARE WE NOT PREPARED FOR THE RUSH?!? Looking at the reciept, we noticed there was 1 banana cream cake on there and weordered 3 and showed her the reciept. She said she would throw in the other 2. We asked to speak to the manager and another veryyoung girl comes to the window and says that they were short handed and not to take it out on girl number 1. First, we were nottaking anything out on anyone. The manager then dismisses us. We get our food and there were 2 banana cream cakes and not the 3that we ordered. Then, they gave us Cole slaw that we didn't order and we tried to give it back and we're told that they werenot taking the food back and we needed to go. My first in app buy for Popeye's and it was Delicious ???? The chicken was really crispy. The colw slaw was a little dry... and the Mac and cheese was a little dry also (seemed like it may have been sitting in the container for a while) buteverything had good flavor. Arrived at the height of lunch hour (1245) in the drive through. Store was empty of customers. Rude guy tells us "We out of... chicken". I was dumbfounded. He then tells us, "if you want it, you will wait 20 minutes". Aggravated, with new 4 cars behindme, I decided to just leave. You can do MUCH better, but you choose not to. I wonder if the new owner of this Popeyes would bepleased knowing the amount of money he lost in 5 actual minutes because they won't do the ONE JOB they're hired for. Got told we ain?t got no spicy chicken, then just asked for regular and got attitude for it. Ordered 3 sides, after getting to... the window was overcharged and laughed at. Pulled out of the drive just to find out I got a chicken sandwich and the wrongsides. Go back up to the window to tell them I got the wrong order and now ? they outs of chicken? ?you get what you get man?Seriously, don?t waste your time showing up here, this store should be closed.
