Primos is the BEST of the dozens of Mexican restaurants on the South side of DSM! Clean, well decorated, friendly staff,... comfortable and roomy seating. On top of that the food is fantastic and consistent. We love the Angel Burrito, but everythingwe’ve tried has been outstanding. Margaritas are great as well. If you’re in the mood for Mexican, do yourself a favor andmake the drive! Read more

Second time I have been here now. First time was a 3 star with a decent waiter and food was mediocre. This time however I had an... amazing experience and the workers throughout stayed busy and kept the drinks refilled no problems. The food was top shelf andthe price was very affordable. I will be dinning here from now on when I am craving chimichungas Read more

Love their food. They have a salad with chicken that tastes excellent. We have been working down the menu. Fajitas are good.... Fried ice cream was a pass. I will keep you updated. We drive from Ankeny just to eat here Read more

Walked in at 3pm on a Friday with my dad. No wait. Was asked if we wanted a table or booth, bonus for me since my dad can't get... in a booth. Served drinks within 1 minute of being seated. Took a few minutes to look at the menu since we've never been herebefore. Waiter was patient and courteous. Prices seemed high, but after getting the food it is well worth the price! MonsterBurrito is truly monstrous! Tastes great, a little salty but that's pretty normal for food with chorizo in it. Loved my firstvisit. Will definitely be back try other foods on the menu! Good! Went for lunch at noon. They have refreshed a former Village Inn. Bar seating as you walk in the door, then 2 separate... dining areas on each side. Chips and salsa free to start- says in the menu first 2 bowls on them, $2.99 after that. Loved thesalsa. Kick without burning heat. Thick but not chunky. Nice crisp chips. Extensive menu! Like 12 pages extensive. I went forthe Texas Fajitas- 1/2 lunch special for $9.50. Had steak, chicken, shrimp. 2 flour tortillas, beans, rice, salad, sour creamcame on the side. Fresh green pepper and onion. It was nice that the veggies retained some color and crunch. Lots of timesovercooked and just a swampy mess. Ratio of meat to veggie great. The chicken and shrimp were good. The steak in mine was allgristle. So hence the loss of a star. Friendly service. Clean environment. Employees masked. Definitely will go back- manyitems on the menu looked yummy. Read more

We had lunch at Primos Tex-Mex Bar and Grill. This is in the old Village Inn on Army Post across from Southridge Mall. It was... okay but not anything special. I love Tex Mex when in the southwest but I didn’t get that from Primos so I ended up orderinga taco salad. I’d give it a 6 out if 10. Read more
