Food could have been better with the amount we paid ($350 for 5). I’ll start with the ambience, perfect date night place or a... family get together, calm and relaxing. 5mins from harbor village in destin. Service was good enough to get drinks and food ontime with gratitude and smile. Appetizers were not great, too cheesy or less taste, we might have selected wrong items. MainCourse was fine too. Literally, just loved the seasoned snapper, perfect taste and spice. Pasta was regular types. We’llrecommend this place for main course items. Read more

We caught some mango fish and triggerfish and brought them over to Brotula's to have them cooked. Andrea was super friendly and... greeted us right away and had great customer service the whole time. The chef did an amazing job cooking our fish as well. Itwas a delicious experience! Love this place! Read more

The food was excellent. Would recommend pricing of food items like seafood buckets to be displayed (maybe at front entrance... since market prices change regularly). Had the family feast boil and smoked tuna dip. Expensive but so worth it. Our serverAmaris Coley was attentive, patient and professional. Our greeter set the tone as we entered and we knew the meal would begreat. Read more

We came here for an anniversary dinner & had the best experience! We were seated right away with a view of the sunset on the... patio. We ordered based off the recommendations of our server, Paige Reed, who was phenomenal, along with the food. 10/10recommend eating here! We will definitely be back every time we are in the area! I searched town for the best crab legs, this place wins! Although pricey, very much worth it. The “solo” shrimp and crab... legs broil with potatoes and corn. It was exactly what I came for! We also had the strawberry bread pudding, moist with goodflavor! The staff was friendly, drinks were good, ambiance on the back deck was nice, food was amazing. The bathroom was veryclean and I loved the scrub for your hands. Such a homey touch and got all the seafood off my fingers. A staff member told methe owner makes it, it was so soft and smelled great! Can’t go wrong, I love this place! 10/10! Read more

This was a visit to Brotula's after not having gone for several years. I could not recall why we had not been there and decided... to try it again. The view of the harbor from the outside dining deck is very pleasant. There are boats going by, birds flyingaround and often dolphins in the harbor. We initially sat inside but we were close to two large groups of people so we movedoutside. It was quieter and a better view and plenty of shade from the Florida sun. The luncheon menu at least is quitelimited. I had intended to order steamed oysters (because of the restaurant's name, I assumed that would be an option). Steamedoysters were not an option. I then decided to go with the cooked oysters. The menu said these were "market price" along withmost of the steamed seafood. The charge for six oysters was $28 which I decided was not a good value. Instead, the server saidit was possible to saute the shrimp and fries dish. The shrimp were good and cooked perfectly. There were eight shrimp thatcould reasonably be called medium sized shrimp. They came on a large plate of french fries. The shrimp were about what wouldnormally be included in a shrimp cocktail. I ate a few of the fries. Nothing wrong with them other than fries are naturallygreasy so not a very healthy meal and other options were not available. With two of the shrimp plates, and two glasses of tea(in fairness, if we had asked, we could probably have had a refill of the tea glasses) and a 20% tip that was automaticallyadded, we were charged about $59. The bill also had other amounts added as suggestions for an additional tip amount of 2.5% to7%. The server told us that part of the existing tip goes to the bartender. There did not appear to be many locals at lunch butthere were a number of tourists there enjoying the view, the drinks and presumably the food as well. There are a number ofother places in the area that are not in the heart of the tourist district. Many of these have more reasonable p Read more

Interesting place with a nice atmosphere. The patio has a good view of the harbor. The server was nice but was a bit robotic. ... We really liked the fried pickles (which was $11 for a small plate) and the drinks were top notch. The food was good but notgreat especially considering the prices so it feels more touristy and less gourmet. Also be aware there is an automatic 20%service charge added to your bill, which is fine by me but it is a bit unusual. Read more

Would give this restaurant a 7.5/10. The server Kel was very sweet! My husband and I got the calamari. I was a little... disappointed with the size of the dish to the cost of it. It was tasty though. The fried fish and shrimp were good...but theyserved this with fries underneath it, so it became soft and mushy since the fish was hot. The old fashioned was more sweet thanstrong. The view while eating was amazing and that deserved the 4 stars. Read more
