The snow crab bucket was exactly what I wanted. I ate it all. Except the corn and my boyfriend ate that. 5 of us sat at a round... table with plenty of elbow room. I've been there twice. The first time my Mahi filet was raw on the inside. I found it after biting into it????. Sent it back and... the next one came out raw in the middle too. Fast forward a couple years, we tried it again. The Mahi was good, the veggieswere cold, and the rice was crispy as in undercooked. I'm not one to really complain, but considering what they charge, theyhave room for improvement. Read more
Our party of 7 was told by the hostess we would be put on a waiting list for 30 minutes!! There were maybe people sitting at... about 4-5 tables the rest were empty. We went to the bar and I saw the manager I asked him if we could please be seated at oneof many the empty tables and he said "It's shift change and we'd have to wait to be seated once they clocked in" Veryunprofessional!! I/We will NEVER again try to eat at the Destin Florida restaurant!! All we wanted was a table, something todrink and menus and we would have been glad to wait on the next shift!! Came here to celebrate kid's 6th birthday party. The food is pretty good and great portions. A little pricey for seafood... combinations but that is pretty normal for seafood anywhere. Location is really close to the condos in Destin Beach. Theyprovide free ice cream to every kids menu. They have a mini shop that you can buy stuff as souvenirs. As rice lovers, irecommend ordering rice on the side. Crabs taste just like as expected. Outdoor area has a little playground for kids. Read more
I think in normal circumstances it would have been much better. We were on a 2 hour wait, on top of them being very short... staffed. The staff were very understanding, professional and friendly regardless of how stretched thin they were. One of thestaff members gave my youngest a free toy and candy which I thought was very sweet. The food was good, I have had better fromJoe's and I'm not talking about around this location but closer to Indiana. I am just going to assume they were short on cooksas well. I don't blame the staff, they can't make people work or not call in. I saw them really hustle and still took time tocheck on us and refill drinks. I've had worse service and attitudes with a less demanding crowd and plenty of staff. They reallyshowed a sense of professionalism regardless of how stressed they must have been. I give it 3 because it was expensive,obviously 2 hours is a long time, due to staffing issues I believe our food could have been better. My seafood loving hubby thought this place was so good! I recommend the chicken tenders over the burger, just know that it'll... have a different breading than your typical tenders. Go early and put your name on the list. We waited about an hour and half,but were able to do some shopping and walking around while waiting. Even though they were short staffed, they did a great job! Went to Joe's Crab Shack' immediately after work. Not crowded at all. Received order within 10 minutes. Waitress very cordial... and friendly. Very knowledgeable of menu items and helped us decide. Everything we ordered was delicious. Very disappointedthey removed crabcakes from their menu. Great atmosphere and great variety of music though. Everyone appeared to be enjoyingthemselves. Read more
