We stopped in on Sunday afternoon around 6pm. There were two people behind the counter. The male was quite nice and polite. But... the female was incredibly unfriendly and even rude. It was really shocking to encounter such a person that's hired to dip for aparlor. She didn't need to be talkative or at the customer's every whim. But she also shouldn't have went out of her way to beso impolite to customers. Nobody in my party was even remotely trying to hit on her, which is perhaps the only scenario I canthink of where such behavior would be acceptable. Read more
Super rude staff, me and my partner weren?t greeted at the entrance but the blonde white family who entered right after us got... the biggest smile and was asked how they could be helped right away. We decided to ask about the shakes the lady in the registercouldn?t even bother to look my partner and just spoke between her teeth at her like she couldn?t care less. Couldn?t even go in. The mall website and the store website say they open at 10:30am so we came after spending a few hours on... the beach. The door was locked and the three employees inside couldn?t be bothered to let us know what time they actually open.Every Kilwins I have been to has wonderful service except for this place. It takes two seconds to walk out the door and say goodmorning we open in just a few minutes after sitting around for ten minutes they finally decided to put up a sign still ignoringus. We love the ice cream at Kilwins. This location is in the Destin Commons shopping center next to the AMC theater and... Starbucks. This location stocks the Mackinac Island Fudge ice cream manufactured by Kilwins. It is not available at alllocations. It is a type of chocolate chip ice cream. In this case, the company apparently uses fudge from Mackinac Island,Michigan. The chocolate flavor of the chips is perfect any any taste buds. Their ice cream is always very smooth and creamy. Iscoop of the Island Fudge is about 360 calories but if one is going to splurge on calories, go for the best ice creamavailable. The one disappointment at this location: they do not stock the dolce de leche flavor?another favorite. I last hadthis as a Kilwin's in Jacksonville, Florida so I may have to wait until I get back there to get it again. Read more
We love grabbing a sweet treat at Kilwins after dinner! Lots of options from fudge to ice cream to snacks, everyone is sure to... find something they love. I tried their new chocolate cappuccino ice cream and it was very good, better than most of the coffeeice creams I had. They have waffle cones or bowls available so everyone can get the ice cream their way. Great service too! Read more
