Amazing service and even better food! We were expecting a long wait to be seated since it is Fishing Rodeo and Seafood Festival... this weekend. No wait to be seated was a pleasant surprise! Nice set up. Good view of the harbor. Lots of tvs. Very friendly service. Closed early on a Friday night. Little... pricey but good food options. $5 bottled domestic beer. I ordered the $25 crab claw appetizer as my meal. They were tastybut not filling. It would have been a good sharable appetizer for a group of 4 or more. My family and I went to Tailfins to eat dinner on two occasions. The first night we went it was busy, our food was amazing.... However, the waitress we had was very short tempered, rushing us to place our order, and didn't know the menu. I asked her abouta fish and she had no clue, then recommended me get the most expensive seafood item on the menu ????. I got the feeling thatthis establishment does not like people of color. We decided to give it a try for lunch, we walked in not busy. The hostessstated how many, I tell her party of 4 two small kids and 2 adults. She said I have some high tops tables. I told her I didn'tfeel comfortable, do you have any tables. She got ???? angry and said come on, rushed us to our table and threw the menus downand walked away not saying anything. I was shocked ????. Our waitress did not come to our table for ten minutes before greetingus. As we were ordering our food. I can tell she was very nonchalant, in a hurry. Brought us burnt crab claws, walked away wewaited for her to come back to swap out. Finally she brought us new crab claws. Me and my wife got the feeling that they thisestablishment just wanted our money. The customer service here is horrible. I waited to see if we were going to get refills ondrinks. The food runner was extremely rude to my wife when she asked for extra cocktail sauce, throwing his hands up saying hecouldn't help her. That was unacceptable ????.After we got our tab both times is when we were asked for refills. The most Iheard both waitresses talk, was when they brought out to go boxes and tabs to get their tips. I am a really good tipper, howeverboth night I left about 15%. I would not recommend this place to anyone of color. Unless you are getting this food to go. Tailfins was wonderful. My waitress? name was Theda, and she was so attentive and made sure we were taken care of the entire... time. From our shrimp ceviche(which was awesome)crisp no soggy all the veg was still super fresh; to the steak cooked andseasoned just right; the veggies were awesome not over cooked still crisp.. and don?t get me started on the sushi!!!
