The Gyro with fries was really good. I especially liked the pita. Service was great too even in the midst of a busy lunch rush.

We were in Detroit for the 2022 NCAA D1 Wrestling Championships and wanted to eat the local cuisine. Athens Souvlaki Detroit... should be voted the BEST GREEK RESTAURANT in Detroit!! The gyro sandwich was so mild and tender, the Greek salad was perfectlyseasoned, and the white bean soup was melt-in-your-mouth good! One waitress took care of the entire restaurant, and she wasworking so hard, she tripped on the rug and fell! Our table busser work quickly and efficiently on his first day at the job! Itold the owners what great employees they had and left our waitress a $20 tip! I was however very disappointed that the 2 timeswe went back to eat there, the restaurant was closed! Definitely good authentic Greek food. They even roll the "r" in gyro" lol. We both ordered the chicken guro, came quick, hot &... fresh. The manager brought some chicken breast to our table so we can taste the freshness. It had been off the grill for about10 mins and was still juicy and heavily flavored. I'll surely be back. Read more
