I was recommended this place by a friend who told me the grilled chicken and tabbouleh were really good. No lies detected. It?s... a Lebanese-style grill with fresh meats on display. They seem to specialize in kabobs, chicken, an burgers. This is one of thebest chicken experiences I have had in a long time! You?ve got to get the whole barbecued chicken (call and order an hour aheadof time). They cook everything on wood planks! The chicken dinner came with toum (garlic paste) and pickles with what at firstlooked like bread turned out to be pita chicken, garlic, and cheese quesadillas! The tabbouleh is pretty good, too. The greenswere coarsely chopped (which I like because you actually feel like you?re chewing up some roughage) and we?re very fresh. Theonly complaint with the entire meal was that the tabbouleh was ?too fresh? as the bulgur wheat had not been mixed in long enoughto had softened up enough to be really enjoyable (so, the most minor thing). Oh, and they hand cut their French fries. Icouldn?t stop eating the fries. I?m told the burgers are excellent. I?m taking my friends back for a chicken dinner and othergoodies. Read more

I searched a good place to eat in Dearborn, me wanting some charcoal Grilled chicken, I called and the owner said the wait will... be 1 hour for chicken, so I decided to settle with a sandwich. I arrived and the owner greeted me nicely, very nice guy, I saidI really wanted the grilled chicken and he said yes the wait is a bit, then cashier realized, there is one coming out in 15min.They accommodated me nicely, the price was right based on inflation, I am black and didn't feel any different treatment. atsome point another lady maybe his wife or daughter came out of the kitchen to grab some trays and nodded me HI. Food was superdelicious and fresh hot, meat was good quality, will be back definitely, only downside is the constructions and bad roads to getthere. I ate the sandwich before the pics. Read more

I've been here several times since they opened, and I can't say a single bad thing about this place. The food is fantastic, the... service has always been friendly and efficient, and the prices are very fair. The restaurant is very clean and I've never had aproblem with my bill. I've eaten through most of the skewers, and everything has been delicious. The whole chicken isdefinitely worth calling ahead for and is a bargain for the amount of delicious food you get. I question the authenticity ofsome of these negative reviews, because the negative comments do not reflect the restaurant I've eaten at four times now, atall. Read more

Highly recommend! I?m very picky on my chicken and meats. But let me say everything was amazing! From the kabob, to the chicken... kabob, and to the kefta! Very fresh and clean meat and extremely tender! They made us two burgers, and both were amazing. Inormally don?t eat a double patty burger but I was able to here as it was filled with juice and flavor! Everything came outfresh and the best part of all, my kids ate it all and they normally don?t eat all their food! Check them out and you won?t bedisappointed! Read more

This was our first time here and we loved everything. I absolutely loved their kafta and their kabob. I am a big fan of kabob... and let me tell you their kabob was so soft and not hard to chew at all. The only thing I wasn?t a fan of was their fries. Hahabut my kids were! Amazing kefta kebabs and grilled whole chicken. Couple of kefta kebabs are spicy, unusual for Lebanese restaurants but they do... an extraordinary job, the spicy kefta is a must try. Their whole chicken is rotisserie like chicken over coal, takes about anhour when they put it on so order ahead, probably their best item, maybe challenged for first place by the kefta. Their fattoshsalad with pomegranate is also very nice, the pomegranate giving the salad a very refreshing touch. Definitely with checking outwhen your in Dearborn. Read more

Hawilo Grill has become one of our top spots in the area for a quality Lebanese dinner or lunch! The food is out of this world... and the fattoush is phenomenal! Fries are home made with real potatoes and don?t make you feel heavy. I write this review whilewe wait for the whole chicken but the wait is not long because of these amazing salads we need to work on! The staff is verywelcoming and family like, especially our regular server Rima! 5 stars all across the board as real time was put into thedetails of the food to make a great taste for the customers like us that are eager to come back!
