The schnitzel was amazing, good selection of German beers. It would be 5stars but my friend ordered the Rouladen, and it was not... good. I lived in Germany for 4years and had it a bunch, this was not it. Everything else though was really good. Read more

Old world German charm with authentic German menu including the crisp delicious schnitzel, potato pancakes with the requisite... sour cream and applesauce and tart and tangy sauerkraut. The selection of beers seems endless. Service was above average. Myonly suggestion would be to eliminate the loud metal music that played off and on, imo not conducive to a relaxing dinnerexperience. With 3 restaurants being full/closed, we found this place. Nice homey and relaxing place. It has two long tables along with... individual tables as well. Food was good and the staff were friendly. Read more

I was recommended to check this spot out from a local. At first they said it was a sports bar, but upon arrival we learned that... it was in fact a biergarten and not just any, this spot is one the oldest bars in the city of Detroit as its been in servicesince 1904. The atmosphere was very cozy and it was not very busy for the time we showed up, which was a little after 23:00.The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable about the beers and ciders. I ordered the Rindfleisch Rouladen, which the serverrecommended, and I throughly enjoyed it. We had a great time here and I would definitely bring more friends here for cozy barvibes. Read more
