A true hidden gem in Detroit. Quaint and authentic Italian cuisine. Food is absolutely superb and service is friendly and... efficient. The atmosphere is genuine Italian steakhouse. Menu is eclectic. Everything we ordered we would order again, butwould also want to try other dishes. Decor is a bit dated, but restaurant is cozy. Next time will definitely book a table onthe patio. This place is the real deal and not to be missed. I highly recommend. Read more

I never knew this was in Detroit.... A truly amazing experience. Food was great. The waitstaff were extremely attentive and... helpful. The calamari was the best I have had... Lightly fried, with a delicate tomato sauce, with capers and olives... Reallymade a difference. The potato soup was great... Creamy and smooth. You did not feel bloated. The pasta was great. Meatballs onpoint. Definitely a must visit when in Detroit. Please remember to wear business casual attire. Read more

What more can I say then even during a busy beginning of the dinner rush we received great service, our waiter was attentive and... very laid back. We enjoyed his light-hearted banter with his at the table and absolutely loved the food recommendations he had.And they were even extremely accommodating for my girlfriend's food allergies, they even adjusted and added a different side ofvegetables without us requesting which were fantastic she greatly enjoyed her asparagus and both fillets were cooked absolutelyperfectly! All in all I will definitely return and have already begun recommending it to my friends. Read more

Shhhhh. Don't be the one to let this not-so-secret refuge of deliciousness, out to the masses. Step into the well hidden... property, and you are transcendent. Now for the important stuff. The food. My ex had this darling little Italian grandmotherby whose legendary culinary magic I compare all other Italian cuisine. LDV does not disappoint. Even the salad was craveworthy. The lasagna? Melt in your mouth amazing. And oh my stars the tiramisu was like eating a delicate coffee flavored sweetcloud of yum. My first dinner here won't be my last. Read more

Great place overall. When you first get there it seems like a bit beat down, but once you enter the building it’s great. Greta... service, a tad overpriced, but great little hidden gem if you want some solid Italian food. The lasagna was great! Read more

We happened into this place on a whim on a Sunday and had brunch. Quaint, nice decor, cozy, and romantic. The food was great and... didn't take a long time (omelet of the day - steak, spinach & mushrooms). Our server was nice and took time out to chat with me.We'll be back for dinner. Read more
