What a delightful spot. The menu is small, but I much prefer that since the food is usually far better. We got the dip duo,... the soup of the day (black bean and poblano), spring pasta with chicken, and pork milanese... everything was fantastic! We alsogot a cocktail and a spritz, both were really, really good. The ambiance is really chill and fun. The location is great. Weended up choosing to sit outside since the weather was lovely, but the inside was nice and clean; the bar area looked reallyfun. The staff is really friendly and helpful. We didn't feel rushed and we enjoyed the whole experience. I'm already lookingforward to going back. There are several other starters and entrees I want to try. Read more
Really liked the atmosphere and the service was great. The only issue I had was I feel the steal forsure could have been a... little better. I went to Lumen yesterday for the first time and will definitely be going back. I LOVED the salad I ordered and my groups... waitress-I forget her name sadly- was amazing, nice, had a great personality, and recommended me the strawberry salad I ate andhighly recommend!!! Really enjoy Lumen! This place never disappoints. They staff are very graceful and happy to make your experience rememberable.... This is one of my favorite spots! We started off with the truffle fries. Super delicious. Then for drinks I started with thehibiscus margarita which is super sweet. But then ended getting the lumen libation, such a refreshing tequila cocktail. I gotthe halibut special and my friend got the pasta palomino with salmon. This was my 3rd time here and definitely becoming my goto spot! One thing about this place is that they change menus depending on the season so I am excited to see what the summermenu brings. Decoration, food, and drinks are adequate. Their pasta is probably the best one in town. However, our waiter was very rude, and... it took like 1 hour to bring our food. Maybe because he already knew he would get 20% tip as we were a party of more than 6. Themanager was not any better. The average price per person would be around $35. There is a valet parking on site. Based on thelevel of service we received, I do not recommend it at all if all you want is to have a good time with your friends and family. Read more
The ambiance is beautiful! I enjoyed the experience. The drink menu was not the greatest. I was grateful I was able to order my... “go-to” drink (it was weak). You don’t get that much food. But is was very tasty. I love that we was able to sit insideand still enjoy the weather from outside. Read more
It was an amazing experience. Great drinks good burger. The ambiance was great as well. Make sure you ask your waitress for the... specials because our didn’t tell us and they had some good specials. Next time I go I will try to get an igloo instead ofbeing inside the restaurants because it can get crowded. Read more
A post-modernist gem in downtown. There is a lot to like about this place. If you favor traditional and a place that feels... decorated like a home. Go elsewhere. If you’d like experience that feels like you’re going out, then this place gets itright. Unlike, many places with new American cuisine, where the food tastes and looks like a chef who has ran out of ideas andis desperately aiming for modern art on a plate, Lumen is the opposite; they live in the best of both worlds, the simplicity ofAmerican cuisine with Mediterranean influences.
