The food here is always amazing and everyone who works here is so nice it?s unreal. I love the jerk chicken and the beef... patties. Today when I grabbed my food they accidentally gave me a wrong order and the kitchen staff guy ran out in the rain tomy car on the road to wave me down and get me the right food! It was really awesome of him to do that and I really appreciateit. For sure one of my favorite restaurants in Detroit, can?t recommend it enough! Read more
Found this Caribbean resturant before attending Stephen Marley concert. Fantastic food, service atmosphere and vibe. The... curry goat, patties, street food, and mango custard all were prepared beautifully. The service was point on. Thank you cheffor coming out to our table to meet my Jamaican husband. Went here with two friends and, between the three of us, we ordered the chicken pelau, jerk chicken, and chicken curry (medium).... Also ordered the beef patties and the Mac and cheese, along with the sorrel and rum. EVERYTHING ON THE MENU WAS ABSOLUTELYDELICIOUS. My two friends have never tried Caribbean food before, and I?m happy to report that they are hooked. The food waspiping hot, the service was excellent, the serving size for the price paid was reasonable. We just moved in down the street andwe are so excited to be in such close proximity to such an amazing restaurant. Read more
I finally got to enjoy my favorite Doubles, again @normagscuisine ???????????????? The food was amazing, made with love and... flavorful. Great atmosphere and the owner Lester was really kind and made sure everyone was okay. Please stop by and try them. Idon't think you'll be disappointed. I ate with a friend for lunch. Picked up the chicken and waffles. The waffles were great light and fluffy the kind you would... always want. Chicken was alright. While I did enjoy it. There wasn't anything special with it. If you go make sure you get oneof their drinks. They are amazing. Read more
I loved my first experience at Norma G?s. The owner is such a nice man and wonderful server/bartender. He was kind to all of the... patrons and extremely hospitable. The building is clean and inviting. Tried the jerk chicken and oxtail tacos. PHENOMENAL. Bothmeats were tender and juicy. Also had the doubles. They are quite large and filling. I loved the flavors of the curry. I alsotried the hot sauce. Bought two bottles! I don?t live close to Norma G?s, but it?s worth the trip. Would love to introduce thisto friends. Read more
My favorite Caribbean restaurant! I love the sorrell martini. It's so delicious and unique. The doubles were good to try. The... jerk wings and rum ice cream are always my favorite. The chicken curry is great. The chicken Pelau was pretty good. It had agreat flavor. I enjoy the appetizers more than the entrees. Read more
