Really enjoyed our experience. Feels like an old fashioned Italian deli but in a an updated building. Growing up in NJ,... eggplant parmesan sandwiches were very common in most diners and Italian deli's. Really hard to find in Michigan, super excitedto see it on the menu; I'd give 5 stars just for this sandwich and the tomato sauce was excellent. They do need more seating. Read more
This was absolutely amazing. I was in from out of town and wanted something authentic to Detroit. What I found was absolutely... Heaven. You want gourmet Italian sandwiches or deli meat and cheeses? Do not overlook this spot. My friend and I were in townfrom almost 3 hours away on some other business but did a little searching for good sandwiches to eat. Google did not disappointby recommending this place. First and foremost there was convenient parking. There are not many tables to dine in but we waitedand luckily right before our food was ready a table was available. (Grateful we didn't have to eat in the car)..... So bepatient if you want to eat there. My friend and I both had the "Zio Freddo?s Got Serious Beef sandwich" and a strawberry Italiansoda ...... So amazing. The beef melts in your mouth, with a mild kick. (I can't eat it if it's too spicy. It was perfect) Ihaven't had an Italian soda since I was a little kid... Since my grandmother was still with us. I'd recommend ordering one. Thestaff was so friendly and helpful!! This is an authentic Italian deli. I can't wait until my next visit to try somethingdifferent. Thank you for a great experience!! Picked up the Chop Chop salad for lunch & it's absolutely delicious! The veggies taste so fresh and their house balsamic... dressing pairs really perfectly with all the flavors -- such a great option for a healthy mid-day energy boost. Read more
Nice variety of sandwhiches with fun names. You can find some out of state craft beers. The Italian Beef sandwhich was tasty.
This place will Rocco your world. Each sandwich could probably feed 2. Always check to see what desserts are available too. Got... some coconut macaroons today that were BOMB. Fun selection of import wines, deli case full of top notch meats and cheeses also.Must visit. I will dream about my prosciutto sandwich tonight no doubt. Read more
