I have NEVER just thrown my food away while still hungry, but that's exactly what I did here. I should have turned around when... I saw the way they presented the restaurant and the fact that there was no one else there, and no proper seating, but I decidedto give it a try. I was treating my friend for her birthday. I ordered beef bibimbop, one of my fav dishes. She ordered thespicy seafood bibimbop. My lil bit of meat was bland and cold. The rest of the meal unseasoned and room temp. Her dish wasspicy but she said it tasted like the shrimp were not clean and that while spicy, it was underseasoned. I literally threw myfood away in the "dumpster" they reserve for people who dit down. She didn't want to throw hers away in front of me, but she toostopped eating. $45 down the drain. I didn't think to complain while there or ask for my money back, but later when tellinganother friend about this horrendous experience, I found out I should have done that. Pretty interesting lunch today! Take out only! Rolls were fresh and pretty good

I’ve been going to Wasabi since freshman year of college and I usually enjoy the food and the service. Today I asked the... server (Sara I believe) if I could have any shrimp rolls, and she charged me for 10 pieces 12.99 of just fried shrimp. Assomeone who works in service I asked if there was a way to get me the food I wanted, she told me to be more specific next timeand that she couldn’t get me the food that I was asking for even if I made my way back to the restaurant. It was prettydisappointing because I’ve always enjoyed Wasabi and recommend to friends. I will not be coming back, after paying for foodthat I did not want and receiving a poor response to the mistake they made. My girlfriend and I were here on Wednesday, 03/09/22 we ordered the Popcorn Lobster Roll, Dungeon Dragon Roll, Double Shrimp... Roll, Hulk Roll, Ninja Roll, Philadelphia Roll, Spicy Shrimp Roll, Seaweed Salad, Miso soup and Masago. Totaling slightly over$100.....It was our first time here but not our first time having sushi in Michigan. We both agreed, BEST SUSHI IN MICHIGAN!! Ifi could give more than five stars, I would. I hope we can come back before leaving Detroit. I highly recommend Wasabi! Ourserver, Sarah (spelled the right way, with the H) was phenomenal. Food is ALWAYS great! I know it may sound cliche but I’ve NEVER had a bad experience here! The owner is a very nice guy and... the sushi chef John and waiter Kyu are awesome and guarantee a pleasurable problem free experience! I eat lunch here almost everyday, prices and location are great. Safe area very clean and close to all the museums. The staff is... very attentive and there also a area for bigger groups. I love the specials and the food is delicious ????????????????. Read more
