Best pizza ever!! I have been eating here for 30+ years and never had a bad pie.
Overall the pizza is average. But my rating comes from the customer service. I went it to pick up my pizza and the gentleman in... front of me ordered 2 slices of pizza as the employee rang him up the price was $8. The customer was upset due to the price andsaid that?s ok I?ll go somewhere else and proceed to leave. I would have done the same $8 for two slices is not worth it, Icould understand if they were larger slices but they were normal. Anyway, this is the part that got me, the employee started tolaugh and yell across the dining room ?hey he left, the guy left? as both employees were laughing. Not very professional couldhave handle the situation better and could have been more customer friendly. Read more
Good, just different. The pie is very saucy...their style is having it on top along with the cheese. I thought it was... interesting, but not my thing. Ordered a cheese, pepperoni, and sausage/pepper. Peppers tasted a bit too sweet. Pepperoni wasgood. Their sauce is more sweet than savory, and I think there is too much of it. Anyway, not bad. Says Delaware?s best pizza but it was disgusting. I got an overpriced personal pizza with Safeway brand four cheese blend and... had to throw the rest away after a single bite. To compound the issue, we had ordered a full pizza because the individual slicesthey brought were embarrassing and belonged in the trash. I've had Grotto Pizza else where, but it is so much better at the beach. They have a very nice deck area where my wife and I ate... lunch. Which was very delicious. The service was great as well, our waitress was kind enough to take our picture. As the sayinggoes " Everything is always better at the beach ". Read more
Nothing says summer at the beach like Grotto's Pizza. Love the cheese and swirl and the sweet peppers. The side salads are... large enough to share, although their house tomato dressing is strange but popular. The Dewey location could use somerefreshing. we were seated inside and it was really warm. we asked the waiter if they could turn on the ceiling fans and he said"no, it will just blow dust everywhere." I don?t think anyone in this state has ever had a margarita slice. Better than 1 star is about the peak for this place.
