This place is awesome! I even did a repeat crab cake sandwich a second time because it was so incredible. Huge portions, lump... crab meat and great bread toasted for crunch. The awesome bartenders wooed us with orange crush drinks and entertained us onboth occasions with witty humor. They were also kind enough to share information about local happenings and tips. Grabbed lunch at Woody's and was very happy with what we ordered. Sky was our waitress and she was great. We tried the crabby... tots, crab cake sliders and mac n cheese bites for starters. Everything was delicious. My kids really enjoyed the mac n cheesebites. The cream o' crab soup was delicious as well if you prefer a creamier soup. I had the soft shell BLT sandwich and myhusband had The McDonough. Both very incredibly delicious! The ahi tuna was perfectly seared and seasoned. Decided to try it based on average rating and was not disappointed. Went for lunch and had the seared tuna sandwich wife had the... crabcake and we enjoyed it so much we went back for dinner the same night. Food is very fresh and well prepared and all thestaff was friendly. If I'm ever back in Dewy Beach I will definitely return. Read more
Came here because of the high reviews. Ordered the crab cake sandwich that came with old bay chips, crab cake platter that came... with 2 sides of your choice, and the kids ordered the Asian tuna that came with 2 side options. My daughter chose fries and Mac& cheese as her options and also added soup to her dinner. They got her order completely wrong. She got 2 totally differentsides and never got her soup. We pointed out that she ordered different sides and they came back with only one of the sides. Wetold them we were still missing fries and they said they'll get it but then a little while later we see the person that we toldleave for the night and we never got the fries. The crab cakes were very good with hardly any filling and a good size butportions of the other food were not as generous as we expected compared to what other reviews were saying. Maybe it was an offnight because of the holiday weekend but we really wouldn't come back especially with all the many other restaurant options inthe area. Read more
I love Woody's ??! Always a great atmosphere and good food. Been visiting occasionally for years, before and after covid. I must... confess I don't love crabcakes, but based on some reviews I decided to try the Monster. I don't think it's on the menu, but ifyou ask they'll know what you're looking for. It's a crab cake topped with a lightly battered and fried softshell crab, lettuce,and tomato on a brioche bun. Just Awesome!!! ???????? to tip it off, the service was even better. Our waitress was great. Theowner even stopped by to see how I was making out with the Monster. I only made it through half and gave the other half tohubby. We both enjoyed it! Really love the attention the owner gives his customers, really makes me want to keep coming back.(Side note, I was so caught up in the crab two ways on my bun that there might not have been lettuce and tomato on my Monster.Can't recall. ????????) Stopped in with friends because we had heard this place has the best crab cakes in the area. We were not disappointed. Woody's... has a laid back beach vibe atmosphere. The crab cakes are amazing! There is so little filler and so much lump crab that I don'teven know how they keep them together. They area but pricey as the price fluctuates due to the market but they are well worthit. PLEASE THUMBS UP IF HELPFUL My friend suggested we go here for lunch on our day trip to the boardwalk. She claimed it was "the... best crab cake ever". While parking is tight and probably better from a walking distance it is completely worth the trip. It wasnice to eat outside with the breeze and good company. I felt spaced appropriately apart for my Covid comfort. Turns out this wasthe best crab cake I think I've ever had. MP was $25 for the sandwich and $31 for the platter. I would say I feel like I paid afair price for this crab cake. Now that I know their crab portions I feel like all the crab appetizers and entrees soundincredible. Completely worth a visit! Read more
