I'm a school bus driver for Saline Area Schools. We went to A&W, in Dexter, on a school field trip. By the looks of the place,... you'd think parking would be rather limited. On the contrary! We managed to park 2 school buses, which took up quite a fewparking spots. We'd normally have parked in the lot across the street. However, being a field trip for our special needsstudents, we needed to park closely to the outdoor patio, for wheelchair access. There were still plenty of parking spotsavailable for others. The staff was certainly on their game! We had probably close to 35-40 staff and students needing to orderfood and beverages. All the orders were taken in a quick and orderly fashion. The food was served promptly and with smiles. Veryfriendly and welcoming atmosphere! And, a bonus for me was that I got to enjoy an A&W rootbeer float! Haven't had one in about25 yrs. Took the 63 Thunderbird to A&W tonight with my wife. Great place, Great food and Root beer with a friendly staff.
There are many A&Ws around, but none of them come close to this location. It is the classic, OG A&W from your childhood.... Everything about it is just perfect: the drive-up service, outdoor seating if you prefer to eat at a table, and the original A&Wflavor that made the brand stand out. I?ve never been disappointed here. My family and I look forward to stopping for someconeys, onion rings, and ice cold root beer every time we?re in the area! Read more
