Great spot, friendly staff and good beers on tap! My only complaint is add-on food pricing. I had Kung Pao which is priced... ok, and you can add chicken, beef or shrimp for an extra $8. There were 3 tiny pieces of chicken which I had to actuallysearch for in thinking they forgot to add the chicken to my plate! It was laughable honestly for an extra $8! Read more

The meal was okay but there were many flies around the table and the steak was a little bland. Either the steak wasn't very... fresh or it needed more seasoning, it also arrived to the table a bit warmer than room temperature which means it sat there fora bit though we were a group of 8 so I'm not too disappointed regarding that. The steak was cooked medium rare as requested andwas very tender; 5 star in that regard. Read more

The ambience was really nice. We got seated and served promptly and there was live music playing (Friday night around 7:30pm).... We got the lobster Mac n cheese as our starter ($30), it was very tasty with large pieces of lobster but it was a little smallfor the price. I?m glad we got it as an appetizer. I think as an entree it wouldn?t have been enough. The seafood chowder wasexceptionally good and my friends very much enjoyed their meals as well. Overall great experience. Read more

After driving all day and settling in a Moncton area hotel we then searched for a unique place to have supper. We chose St James... Gate. Unfortunately when we arrived and went to the front door they had a drawn paper sign in the door indicating they wereclosed to the public due to a private function. They did however continue to post on this site their live feed indicating thatthey were busy as usual. So they get no score from me tonight because if they can post a live feed indicating how busy they arethey could have at least posted that they were closed to the public today as well. Read more

We arrived 30 minutes after opening and couldn?t find any staff. We sat ourselves and took our own menus. The waiter showed up... approx 20 minutes after that and took our order. My wife had the tuna poke bowl and a white sangria. The drink wasn?t very goodand the poke bowl was ok. I had a water and the fish tacos, which were fantastic. Highly recommend. My wife, however, got sickabout 60 minutes after leaving the restaurant. The way she felt, she suspects it was the food (hard stomach, etc). Perhaps thetuna? Although we?re not certain, it was the only thing she ate in that time frame. We reported it to the restaurant. 2 mains,1 drink, 2 coffees, tax & tip: $65 Read more

Before writting this review, I'd like to mention that I've been a patron of the downtown Moncton location for a number of years... and take joy in their prolongued consistency and their creative menu. It was my first time visiting the Dieppe location as theMoncton one did not have room for our table of 5 on such short notice. Our reservation for a table of 5 guests was made for18:30. We arrived at 18:30 and we were greeted at the entrance by our friendly host, Terry. She brought us to our dinner tablewhere glasses of water and menus were already placed ready for us. This location is situated on a upper class golf course. Theambiance and decorations are reflective of this fact. It is a large, high ceiling open floor plan with a bar area and tablesorganized by section with some artificial walls and plants dividing certain sections. There are normal tables with diner chairs, along with other tables being elevated a bit higher with tall stools. Because of the open floorplan and the acoustics of thehigh ceiling, it is quite loud with everyone talking, albeit being manageable if sitting close to each other. We were alsounaware that there would be a live acoustic performance. Although the musician was quite skilled and was playing familiarclassics, the music made it exponentially more difficult to communicate between each other while sitting. Our table ordersdrinks, appetizers and our main course. The drinks come quickly along with the complementary warm bread and honey butter whichis traditionally served at St James Gate. Our meal ticket was nothing extraordinary nor required complex assembly. It was 3bison burgers (2 with fries as a side, 1 with gate salad) 1 California sandwich with fries and 1 smoked chicken carbonara.About35 minutes later, the appetizers are served. It consisted of 2 spinach dips served with toasted pita covered in melted cheese, all of which was delicious.Another 30 minutes pass, the apetizer plates are collected and a second round of drinks Read more

Busy location, year round! Good sized restaurant with two additional rooms available. Efficient staff. Great food with same menu... and quality as the Main Street, Moncton location. Clean bathrooms. Large parking lot. Live entertainment some evenings. Read more
