Second occasion eating here (was called Freda's). Was very hesitant since my first experience had been pretty bad. Both times... was there for HS reunion event. I was very pleasantly surprised this time. My meal seemed freshly prepared and was tasty, andthe staff, even though inundated with a large crowd, did a great job making sure everyone had what they needed. Great job! Read more

Food was delicious. We were celebrating our 40th class reunion, and the help got somewhat overwhelmed; They eventually rose to... the occasion, though- and our group (around 60 people) left happy. Read more

Food was good, not great. Good selection on the menu and prices reasonable. Service was a little slow, but it was Friday night.... Salsa was not as good as other Mexican restaurants. Could have used a little more cilantro and spice. But that can be anindividual matter of taste. We got the chicken chili rellenos because they weren't breaded which is hard to find them that way. They were good, but didn't compare to some at one of our other favorite Mexican restaurants. So maybe closer to 4 stars ratherthan 3, but just couldn't give them a 4 for this visit. Read more

Excellent service and good, local Mexican. The chips and salsa were very good, flavorful and fresh. Some spicy overtones for the... salsa, but not overpowering. The Fried Plantain and Ice Cream, despite looking a little overcooked, was actually cooked justright. The presentation and flavor complimented the atmosphere and ambiance. We made the faux pas of ordering from only oneportion of the menu, don't know how that happened. All four fajita dishes were very good, though the seasoning is very similaracross the Azteca, Texanas, and Jalisco, though the Jalisco has Mexican sausage that does enhance the flavors a bit and providesa noticeable difference. The previous two, though obviously different in ingredients, tasted about the same. The FajitaHawaiians, on the other hand, was by far the best. It had a nice complex flavor with the spice and sweet pineapple. The freshpineapple (not canned) maintained a firm texture, was not overly sweet, but blended well with the shrimp and scallops that werecooked to perfection, maintaining a very succulent tenderness. We enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and thought it was a good value. Read more
