I came from New York to enjoy Washington and was suggested to check out crafty crabs. We went in the hostess was rude her... comment was ?we have a list and you can?t be seated? coming from New York the people of Washington was all friendly until I wentto crafty crabs. The hostess at the counter for the take out offered us a menu so I order $134 dollar worth of food. So now I?mback at my hotel and open the bag here I saw a roach ???? in my food. I was not going to write about the rude hostess but nowseeing a roach I decided to take my time to write this review and I will never eat at crafty crab at 5ths district heightslocation at Penn station shopping center. The shrimp boil was terrible. The shrimp were overcooked, can someone explain why they leave the head on? ???? I could barely... bite into the potatoes and received a very small piece of corn. I contacted the restaurant and spoke to a manager who told me Ishould?ve checked my food before I left, well my son picked up my food, and who does that? It just seems unsanitary to exposeyour food around other people during Covid. The manager didn?t replace my order and provided an email address to theirheadquarters but I never heard from anyone. I was pleasantly surprised with this spot. The crab boils were really good and everything was cooked perfectly. I got the boom... sauce (all 3 mixed) and I got it "fire" which isn't burn your mouth hot but its a nice flavorful spicy. My husband's friedoyster and onion ring basket was really good as well. My son had a chicken strip basket and he really enjoyed it. The strips arehuge and it came with 4. Our waitress (I think her name is Minnie) was attentive and kind. Im not surprised about the service. Our waiter was wonderful but he was the only waiter during our visit . So it took some time.... However before I knew this I got up to ask for the manager after waiting for a while before our waiter came and the cashierpointed to say the manager was right there in the window. I look over and she was the young lady that walked past our table withmenus on it several times but yet over at the window talking on her cellphone. Even as I typed this message she's still on herphone instead of helping her staff out. Owner please get another manager. Read more

Love going to this place. Be sure to order online so you can pick up your order. And always make sure that your order is correct... before you leave. I went there today and forget to check my bag to get home and my sauce that was on the side was not there. Read more

Great atmosphere, food was good. They need to work on their FIRE spice because it was nothing fire about it. Couldn't even feel... the burn compared to their sister restaurant in Alexandria. But I will give them the benefit of the doubt since they justopened. Other than than that the atmosphere is outstanding and they even have upstairs seating. Read more

I?ve been to this establishment 4 times mainly because of the location and the traffic it attracts. My first visit was okay I... order online always never sit down to eat. The food was good it was worth the money. The second time, they forgot to include thelobster in my bag and were hesitant about resolving the issue. Third time they didn?t include the extra eggs and that wasn?tthat big. Today I ordered a Crab Leg boil added lobster a pond of shrimp which seemed light to me added potatoes and corn.Before leaving the young lady said check your bag to make sure everything is there, I said I?ll check as best I can people don?thave masks so examined my bag I did not open to the air where people are walking around with no masks. I get home and there?ssausage in my bag pork no less I don?t eat pork. The crab legs were tiny tiny and had no meat in them at all. I call, the younglady cuts me off and says it?s nothing we can do about it once the bag leaves the store but give you 20% off your next meal andif you checked your bag you would have seen the sausage. I preceded the conversation by saying I would really to talk to thestore manager but I?ll call another day. So she gives me her manager named Kesha. Kesha tells me rudely we can?t do anythingafter the bag leaves the store because of Covid, I said but you all want me to open my bag in an establishment where staff haveno masks and patrons all the times I?ve been in there people walk in and around joking and playing with no masks. She said yeah,I said okay. So, I assume the store manager has issued this mandate that once the order leaves nothing can be done. So, openyour bag and check to see if we made a mistake risk your food being contaminated and if there is an issue be furtherinconvenienced and uncomfortable because the atmosphere is less than classy it?s ghetto full on ghetto with bad customerservice.
