Ok, so initially I wanted to leave 4 stars, I really did. I ordered via Doordash, and when the order arrived I had issue with... several things. Mind you, with the tip I spent nearly $60 on the meal. First off, it comes in a great plastic bag. Problem Ihad is it is sealed at the top by a glue strip, and the only way to open it is to tear the bag. I'm sure it's done with theintention of assuring the customer the food wasn't tampered with. Problem is I try to reuse all plastic bags for trash, so itwas wasteful. Then, there were no utensils. No napkins. The Texas toast was Texas bread. The portions were smaller than Ianticipated for the price. And the chicken was dry as jerky. So needless to say, I was starting at no higher than 4 stars. Theissue I had with this was then I tasted the food. Everything (aside from the chicken) was spot on delicious. The pulled pork andthe ribs were moist and flavorful. The hickory BBQ sauce was so good I wished I ordered extra. Beans were great, Baked potatosalad was fantastic, never had one like it before. And the chocolate brownie stacker, fuggetaboutit! The chicken I can forgive.1st I ordered 20 minutes before closing. 2nd, it's hard to keep chicken moist once you cut it. 3rd, it was delivery. Flavor wasthere, and the dog loved it, so I'm not complaining. But with the food being so good, ultimately I couldn't justify the starloss, even with the issues. Great Great BBQ. And I travel to Dodge City for work regularly, so I will surely be eating hereagain soon. Read more
It was alright... dined in with a co worker, plus my wife and 2 daughters. The food wasn't bad but for these prices you expert... more. My wife commented that without sauce the brisket was dry. I'm also not big into BBQ. I probably be stop here again. Read more
$15 bucks for that? We ain?t in Texas, that?s for damn sure. My 9 dollar sandwich literally had 4, 1? pieces of sausage sliced... in half and the bread was stale. This place would never make it down south. I guess there must be no competition in KS. Patheticservice also. If this place is 4.1 stars, it?s because the owners must be paying people to write fake reviews. Waste of money! Read more
Excellent BBQ, especially when considered it's a fast food joint. The 2 guys working were extremely polite and patient with the... nooby and happily answered all my questions. The Heisman was delicious, the slaw was good (not my moms... but good). Only wayit I see an easy improvement is have some beer available... Read more
It was absolutely ordinary. Ordered the Heisman, no bread. Brisket had great flavor but was so finely chopped it didn't seem... like brisket. Bologna was also flavorful but texture was oddly soft. Spicy link was anything but spicy. Service was fast,friendly, efficient. Staff was great. Place was spotless. Another odd thing...no smell of smoke or even cooking. I'm from out of town, but come to dodge frequent enough for work to take an interest in the towns cuisine. I happened to come... across Billy Sims on my way to work and stopped in for Chopped Brisket sandwich with baked beans. The brisket was smokedperfectly and chopped in a way that resembled pulled brisket. The meat was very flavorful and the beans were amazing as well. Idefinitely reccomend going and giving this place a try. Read more
Ordered thru uber or gas hub lol which ever and forgot bbq sauce. Also no fried okra as a side. But i have to admit sandwhivh... and beans were hella good just dont forget bbq Read more
