Nice, upscale, unassuming restaurant with limited menu. I had the Signature Roasted Mushroom Soup and the Chargrilled Salmon.... The soup was very flavorable with a hint of cayenne pepper. The Salmon was served in a broth with clams, artichokes, large whitebeans and a few other ingredients that works. Interesting menu with just a few entrees, quite different than a diners menu. We had an awesome meal here yesterday. Ate out on their balcony. Beautiful atmosphere, flowers, pond and hummingbirds... everywhere. The roasted mushroom soup was freaking delicious! Best I've had. Ordered the burger for main course and was one ofthe tastiest burgers I've had in a long time, well worth the $18. Service was great and staff was super nice. Definitelyrecommend this place. Food and scenery were excellent. We were seated outside. We were only passing through this town overnight on our way to Virginia... and we were so pleased to find this gem of a restaurant! I have recommended it a few times to friends that live in the vicinity! Read more
The pork belly deviled eggs blew my mind and the salmon with roasted artichoke hearts was out of this world. Don't let this... place being in rural PA be a deterrent.... high quality cuisine is alive and well in the part of the world. Initially, I thoughtthe prices were a bit high, but in retrospect, no different than what I would have paid in big city settings - with arguablybetter quality and service. Read more
Excellent menu and service. Tuna Tacos are worth the trip alone. The atmosphere and service are unmatched in this particular... area. Half of our party went back the next day, that's how good it was! Most absolutely a repeat when in the region. It's onlyless than ten minutes off the Seven Springs turnpike exit, so even when traveling through it's worth the stop. Read more
The food was amazing. The atmosphere was great. Service was wonderful. I can't wait to go back. The sea scallops were cooked... perfectly and were to die for the puree was so wonderful paired with them. The pork tenderloin melted in your mouth and wasamazing. The special of the day the pork shank fell off the bone melted in your mouth was full flavor and was paired wonderfullywith grits and greens it knocked my socks off. Dessert was wonderful as well. I was extremely pleased with my visit to out of the fire café. We both had the mushroom soup and it was excellent. If you?ve... never had their mushroom soup you must absolutely try it. It is creamy and delicious and full of herbs and spices. I had aspinach salad with a poached egg and I highly recommend it. She had the muscles for her birthday and she loved them. I was verypleased with the service here. The staff was extra friendly and very accommodating. The service was fast and accurate. Theatmosphere was very welcoming and enjoyable. You would definitely like it here. I can?t recommend this location highly enough. Iwould definitely come back here for the great service and atmosphere. my husband & I recently discovered a glowing ember in the Laurel Highlands "Out of the Fire Cafe" we started with a Maple Old... Fashioned & 15yr. Macallan, Oysters on halfshell, Roasted Mushroom soup as apps. Berry Belgian Waffles & Green Eggs & HamBenedict as our main courses for Brunch! we were blown away & u will be too.
