Very delicious food with a no-frills ambiance. Everything was delicious and came out very quickly. Here's what we got: 1.... Appetizers - fried pork and shrimp wontons (10/10, crispy and well seasoned), chicken satay (8/10, the sauce was the shiningstar here), and roti canai (15/10, GET THIS. If there's more than 2 people get 2 servings). 2. Beef rendang - slightly spicy, very tender and super flavorful. It's clear that the curry paste is made fresh in-house. You can taste the lemongrass, ginger, and Chiles. Definitely recommend if you like spicier food. 3. Chicken Mamak - sweet and spicy fried chicken, but the sauce ismore complex than most sweet and sour. And the chicken kept its crispy, crunchy exterior even though it was covered insauce. 4. Sambal okra - this was great, and fresh. Okra was perfectly cooked, not slimy, and the dish wasn't too spicy.Definitely recommend as a way to cut through all of the meat dishes. 5. Noodles. I can't remember what these were called butthey were the first ones in the noodle sections by subbed egg noodles for the rice noodles (they were out of rice noodles ????)but still delicious. Large shrimp, and pieces of squid. Very delicious. Highly recommend this place! Read more

Delicious & good service! We ordered the roti canai, black pepper seafood combo, curry laksa with spare ribs, and Hainanese... chicken rice. Highly recommend the roti canai and black pepper seafood combo especially. Also would suggest arriving early or gocloser to closing time (~8 pm) to avoid a wait. Read more

Would recommend this restaurant!! Honestly such amazing dishes that never get old. Love their tofu dishes (Mamak Tofu and Chef... Special Tofu, both superrrr soft tofu dishes), Rendang beef, and Walnut Shrimp. Portion sizes are great to share and are big aswell. Definitely worth the money. Note: Lots of parking spaces. Very small seating area, so not COVID friendly. Read more

My family truly enjoyed our discovery of Mamak, a restaurant featuring a wide range of Malaysian street food. Though rather... limited in seating capacity, Mamak delighted us with it's expeditious table service and inexpensive menu items. My favoriteentree was the Hainanese Chicken, paired with the Sambal Okra. I highly recommend Mamak as a worthy stop while exploring theextraordinary diversity of Asian cuisine along Buford Highway.
