Traveling through Douglas and stopped for easy dinner, Reuben sandwich. Been told by coworker to go there if I get... chance. Sandwich was much less quality than deli and at $15. Corned beef looked as if lunch meat store bought. Tasted nothinglike corned beef less flavor. Cole slaw was side and sure it was from lunch. Oily, old, kinda soggy. Definitely disappointedRanahans... Was in to go box that as well had absolutely no appeal what so ever. Family that has 3 corporate chefs and doescatering in Houston and Denver areas. I know food and presentation !! The food was wonderful! The sear on the steak was perfect. I usually use steak sauce, but the meat was flavored so well I didn't... need it. The dessert was so good, it was hard to choose but I ended up getting the BlackBerry cobbler (it has a longer name) itwas delicious! The entire staff was very welcoming and kind. The whole place was very clean and though it has a bit of a relaxedatmosphere the small details made it feel very high end. Really enjoyed Ranahan Steakhouse! First of all, it’s located in a BEAUTIFUL new, sparkling clean building. Great country... music playing the whole time, highlighted by Riley Green, Jamey Johnson, and Jon Pardi. Small beer selection, but there’sstill something for everyone, craft and domestic enthusiasts alike. I started with the French onion soup (picture below). Itwas great, and served in the coolest manner I’ve ever seen. Then, had the 12 oz prime rib (picture below). Thought thepresentation was fantastic. It was done perfectly, super tender, and tasty. The seasoning wasn’t necessarily my absolutefavorite, but still very good. The salad and bread bar was one of the nicest I’ve ever seen. The service was absolutelyfantastic! Prices are commensurate with the quality of the experience and food provided, especially considering our currentinflationary pricing environment. Will absolutely be back if I’m through Douglas again and would recommend to anyone. Read more

Salad bar was fantastic!!! Potato skins a delight, a smidge over done though but still delicious. The service was pretty good,... room for improvement though. The main dishes we ordered, we wouldn't order again. To much spice for the walleye i ordered andjust odd, husbands chicken fried steak was very, bland. Definitely not a special chicken fried steak. Water didn't have icecubes, so i thought that was strange. I will definitely try their steak next time i go back. Read more
